This is what I love to see out of a head coach and he has the makings of a very successful one. Not only getting involved in the community immediately but also using others to try to learn even more regardless of the sport. This man knows what he's doing and will get Siena back to the top of the MAAC in no time and it's going to be a hell of a lot of fun to watch. Go saints!

But a question. Assuming Jamion gets the program back to the top of the MAAC, will the AD be given any credit for the hire, and just as importantly, for the search process that led to the hire? A number of regular contributors to this board had some less than complimentary things about the AD. Just wondering if those same folks will give credit where it is due.

Should the hire work out as everyone hopes it will D'Argenio definitely deserves credit. JMO but it would be in D'Argenio's best interest to retire within the next couple years. At least that way as long as the hire is successful he can go out with a bang and not have so much negativity poured on him when he decides to retire

It would depend on the NEXT hire. If they fell off again it would continue to look like they are throwing darts for the hiring process. If they learn from Mitch /patsos in particular I would give credit where credit is due

Obviously we won't know for years who the next coach will be so we should stick to the present and the current head coach. We can worry about that problem when/ if it happens

Siena always has a handful of good coaches applying for the job at Siena, when you are only 50-50 (So-So) picking the right one that is unacceptible.GO SAINTS!!

Nothing is accomplished without effort. Effort is required and appreciated, but it is results that are rewarded. I expect that both effort and results will be achieved with this staff. The same is true for the team. If the required effort is put in, the results will follow.

I admit I was not thrilled with the choice when Siena chose JC, but I am coming to love the choice. Those who have known me on here over the past 15 yeas know I have always been for the scrapper, the fighter, maybe not the most talented (like me) but never going to get beat for lack of trying. I am disappointed we didn't get Zdor and not thrilled with Picket or Seymour, but I think he is the guy to right the ship. I agree he is one hard working dude, but to quote National Lampoon Christmas Vacation.... "But Art, he worked so hard"... (Art) "So does a washing machine"... results are what matter. Make no mistake, I am 100% behind the coach, I am rooting for him to show us his stuff when he has a little space to breathe.

Gotta remember..."one aw shit wipes out ten atta boys" and 5 aw shits wipe out 5 atta boys. Lets not go crazy implying that there have been mostly good hires. Since Dean left its essentially batting .500... almost throwing darts at a board.

Seymour has the talent... the question is his motor. I think playing in front of his home crowed at this level may be a spark. and if you like the scrapper, the fighter. Youre going to love Pickett.

Would to see that in Picket SF. As for Seymour, I am not "back home" anymore so haven't seen him play just going on what others have posted about a lack of fire in the belly his senior year. Has to be a reason all the interest dried up after Junior year. I think overall Siena is back on the right track, just need to build up a head of steam. Things are looking up.
