Heard today hat Christian Bentley has also departed, leaving Manny Camper as the only returning freshman.
That means that Jamion has two to give or hold, as he sees fit.

I don't think JC can afford to hold both. At least one will be filled. I'd have no problem with him holding the second one though. With all the talent he has offers out to for 2019, the more spots he has open for them the better. 2019 is a make or break class for JC. It'll be indicative of where his career is heading. If he lands a blockbuster class, he can turn it around by year 2. Which is what the coaches that have "it" usually tend to do.

My good friend jimmy told me that you need at least 5+ years to turn around a program.

That is too bad. I was excited to see him play in Christian's system.

You guys who follow this, is there anyone worthwhile still available (other than Zdor) or would it just be bringing in someone who would be "cannonfodder" and tying up a scholarship for 4 years? JC is on the record as saying "we won't bring in kids just to bring in kids".

Wouldn't be the worst thing to give Carey a partner to go through the sit out year with. I'm all in on Zdor and would guess there are still some talented kids kicking around. I'm also okay with holding 1 or 2 scholarships for next year or to take in a mid year transfer. They already have 3 available (Fisher, Smithen, Degnan) right?

Jamion reiterated that sentiment yesterday. Other than Zdor, the only 2018 recruit that I am aware of who has been on campus is Jayce Johnson of Canisius High in Buffalo, and he signed an LOI to play football at Wagner. With Bentley now gone, he may be in the mix.

If another scholarship has opened I would use it on another sit out transfer. Najja Hunter recently announced he was leaving Rice. I would target him.

With one scholarship left they had no choice but to hold it for Zdor. Now that two are available let's see if they have other guys they consider worthy targets that they simply couldn't offer while they were waiting on Zdor.

They likwnjayce Johnson enough to try and bring him back for an official so I would think he is seen as an upgrade to Bentley

Zdor and Adams-Woods would be nice for the final two spots.

Is Adams-Woods considered a '19 commit with the possibility of being reclassified to '18?

Is Adams-Woods considered a '19 commit with the possibility of being reclassified to '18? Very unlikely that he reclassifies. A name that I've seen that would make sense is Michael Hueitt jr. He's already received his from ODU. Had offers from Rutgers, Mizzou, and MTSU out of high school. Would complement Donald Carey very nicely next season
