Not surprising with Pickett and Carey around. I don't think he'd want to transfer from the Big East to the MAAC and still not start. Would you? He's clearly afraid of Carpenter.

A punchers chance both could be gone. Thats why i liked the idea of having a guy sit out and be ready to play with no learning curve. Just being realistic here with how the transfer rules are now.

Doesn't make tons of sense for Don to leave if Jalen is gone because he'd have a bigger role. But if Jalen is there and Aidan becomes what we think he will be, Don may want a bigger role or a bigger program to do the same thing his senior year. I would have loved Nelson, and I am sure the staff would have taken him. But I'm guessing he doesn't want to sit, and if he does have to he'd rather have a clear path to being featured at most places. Manhattan he'd be the starting PG and probably their best player right away. Any of the other options were at bigger programs.

Playing a "bigger role" at a mid major isnt what these kids are looking for in their senior season. They'd rather play 20-25 min in a power 6 conference. Preferably at a winning program. This happened up the street from us, and that was before the wild west transfer rules existed. Two senior guards going bigtime and getting playing time.

This happened up the street from us, and that was before the wild west transfer rules existed. Two senior guards going bigtime and getting playing time. That's fair. My feeling is that Don isn't good enough for a "big" program. Not that he wouldn't get offers, but let's watch how guys like Vaughn, Kelly, Scott, and Salnave look at bigger programs this year. If they stink like Cremo did (Nichols was decent at FSU), hard for me to bet on Don at a higher level when he's worse than those guys. Don would be a fine A10 guard. Jalen can play anywhere in the country.

I thought the new rule if it went into place would only allow players to transfer once without sitting a year. Would they allow someone like Don to transfer a second time for free because they had to sit out a year before the rule was in effect? Seems doubtful but who knows. Becomes a moot point if Don graduates next year but no idea if he is on track to do that.

Including summer classes, I'm sure he'll want to have the grad transfer option available to him.

Didn't no less than Brett Bisping do that? Was he crazy too?

I’m just saying he gives himself more options and I am sure Brett had the same options and he apparently decided to slow it down so he could stay for a fifth year. I did’t say he should graduate I said he should put himself in position then he has maximum options Do you understand that?

What I think I miss today is the lack of team steadfastness. You rooted for players for 4 years. You watched them grow. Today college ball is like the pros with a type of free agency. I hate that with the pros as well. Until free agency, you rooted for a team made up of players who stuck together. There was just a positive feel for both college and pro sports.

Didn't no less than Brett Bisping do that? Was he crazy too? Didn’t Brett have that extra year because of an injury that caused him to miss most of a season? Think he was injured in a game at Fordham.
