Might not like the coach or school, some do, don’t, but gotta give SU credit. Played 2 close games won, and had just played the playin game 48hours previously. Have to wish them luck.

Patsosforlife. Syracuse in sweet 16. While some believe that So-so has, in fact, killed our Program (already on its death bed when the Mitch tumor was excised), I don't think our state or federal laws would support a life sentence for the killer, but it is a thought that brings a smile...Go Blue Devils, "Orange" you glad to draw the Cuse for a quick trip to the Elite 8...

Basketball is dead the talent level is so down but man it makes for some wildly entertaining brackets. Up 22 points with 11:34 to go cinci scores 6 points and loses by 2. Unreal.

The reality is this is a crazy tournament, maybe best ever so far. Considering lower seed over higher seed pints (example 16 umbc over 1 Virginia equals 15) the first round tallied 49 crazy points and the second round has 9 so far. To put it in perspective last year was crazy but had a total of 73 crazy points for all 63 games. Rip “favorites”. (Rpi in parenthesis) Virginia 15. (1) Creighton 1 (44) Arizona 10 (13) Miami 5. (28) Missouri 1 (43) Virginia tech 1 (61) Wichita State 9 (16) Arkansas 3 (30) Tcu 5 (26) Tennessee 8 (8) Looking at the three favorites that lost with an rpi worse than 36, how did those programs all get 8 seeds. Other at large programs that had an rpi worse than 50: Texas (51) Kansas State (53) Florida State (54) nc state 64 Arizona State 66 These programs did not get in despite having an rpi better than 50: 33 middle tennsee State 23-7 34 usc 23-11 38 Louisville 20-13 39 Western Kentucky 23-10 40 saint Mary’s 28-5 50 Boise State 22-8 Despite jay bilas calling this tournament normal before declaring duke the likely champion, I’ll stick with this is a crazy tournament. 45 crazy points were tallied in the round of 32, for a total of 94 for the tourney to date. Joining the dead favorites all seeded 1-4: Michigan state Tennessee Cincinnati Xavier North Carolina Auburn Only 7 teams seeded 1-4 remain. Of these my pick is Villanova followed by Michigan, duke and Purdue. If any other team wins the tournament it will be a type of team that only wins once out of a decade (such as a team from big 12 winning or a team seeded 4 or lower, etc.

Pac-12 (eliminated) has not won it all since 1997 (Arizona). Every champion since 2001 has been ACC or SEC or Big East with two exceptions - UConn in 2014 (American) and Kansas (Big XII) in 2008. I’m going with Villanova, Duke and Kentucky as my top 3 to cut down the nets in no particular order.
