Even in a loss a lot of positives last night. As I told you guys all summer this team will go as far as upperclassmen can bring them, Evan Fisher definitely looked trimmed down, he played within himself, no dumb 3 point shots, rebounded the ball and played good D. Khalil looked really good, kid can create off the bounce, something very few players on this team can do.Kadeem was solid and has very good athleticism ( something this team lacks). The freshmen- Prince showed he can be very good player, he has huge upside, he needs to cut down on silly turnovers. Horn, big play at end of game for that driving lay-up. like many freshmen may take some time to adjust to speed of D1 ball. Penn looked a bit lost at times, he is a bit slow a foot so hard to play Penn and Horn at same time. Not ready to write off Penn, but he definitely needs to be coming off bench. I think same could be said on Shivers, kid is a glue guy, but not very athletic and cant get his shot off off the bounce. When he tried to force it, usually resulted in turnover. Nico, kid is so talented buts still needs discipline. I think I'd start EF, Prince, Nico, Khalil and Kadeem. Bring Shivers, Horn, Friday and Penn off bench. Still early and Saints have a lot to work on - but saw many positives last night www.timesunion.com/sports/article/Siena-men-lose-in-OT-to-College-of-Charleston-in-12349287.phpwww.tri-cityherald.com/sports/article184041711.htmlwww.sienasaints.com/sports/m-baskbl/recaps/111017aaa.html

i find us one game in and people are saying crazy things. What people can't do and how good some look I'm not sure where watching or looking at the same game or team.Seen this team 4 times live not including scrimmage😉.I'm not saying I'm coach k but i think i know basketball.My first take i don't know if Penn is not just putting to much pressure on himself but he's not playing relaxed..He has to find a way to get up at least 7 shots a game going forward.You can practice but the game is different you adjust and learn.And people it's only one game.We have to find a better offensive flow period no one looks good.Our bigs need to post lower way too high dribbling to much to get shots off.Defensively on zone just close off lane better.These are things i keep saying and posting before but dang it's only the first game known i really see .I'll wait till the Maac starts before i really understand if this team evolves and the freshman improve on there play.I'm patient not knee jerk

Agree that the starters without a doubt need to be Nico, Richard, Kadeem, Fisher, and Prince.
Next....ball movement must be much quicker and much better "natural flow", where every guy out there should feel once they have an "open" in flow movement shot, should feel comfortable in taking "their" shot, and should always be in triple threat position.
Go Saints!

I was surprised at how close the game was, honestly. Hopefully, they will continue to surprise us in a positive way this season.

Ricky- 3 things;
1) I don’t think anyone is writing off freshmen after one game. Hope was the guards were “impact” freshmen- doesn’t appear to be case, like most freshmen they will improve with time
2) Freshmen even impact freshmen always seem to play better at home. One of the better players ever here at Siena – Edwin Ubiles went scoreless his first college game ( which happened to be on road)
3) Keep the faith brother!!

I'm not sure Shivers is close to 💯. When we play small he's obviously challenged on the glass at the 4.

Our best line-up is Smithen-PG, Richard-SG, Nico-SF, Fisher-PF, Oduro-C ... Bring Shivers off the bench as the sixth man a role he did well in last year. Friday backs up Prince. Horn backs up Richard and Penn backs up Smithen. Huerter is your 10th man.

Another interesting tidbit UA page one in the TU this morning and Siena was buried so deep I had to look to find the box score and article. UAs trending up & Siena is plummeting like rock. Both Mitch and Jimbo did a great job turning a Ferrari into a Yugo!
Not a good look for the areas premier program, D'arg and Coach Jimbo.

UA may also beat West Virginia. Saw WVA last night and they looked terrible. Couldn't shoot or rebound and looked lethargic.

Go Saints! I agree with this lineup. Prince is the only freshman that should be starting over a returner. He beat out Friday with his play. Horn is a good 6th man since he can play muliple positions ...let Penn learn behind a vet. He is not ready to lead the team.

A better comparison would have been a Chevy Nova, I've had three super Hyundai's - a Chevy Nova is like vanilla tapioca - a dessert but not satisfying....

Siena played in Charleston UA was at home, reverse it get the results opposite , Siena page one UA buried. Just logistics.
