On any given day all across America, there are multiple "talk-downs" and physical altercations between law enforcement and people of all races, including those who are considered to be minorities.
Take the incident with the Schenectady Police and a minority adult male who was actually fighting the police officer one on one just a year or two ago as evidence of this. He was trying to get the officers gun. Lucky for this guy, he was not shot, but he certainly could have been as a justified action by that officer. This type of altercation happens after insrtructions are ignored and well before any shots are taken in any particular situation. Or depending on the action of the individual, or the fear of the officer for his life, or a combination of both, it could also get out of hand very quickly, where soon thereafter, some one loses a life. Regardless of the results, they disobeyed instructions that either leads to an arrest without shots fired or shots fired. This incident with the Schenectady Police never went viral because it was a positive outcome and that individual is alive today. If there was a different outcome, everyone across America would have seen it. You only see the ones where people are killed. For every video you see one killed, there are thousands of talk downs and altercations that you do not see.
Including the incident you reference with the woman police officer, or even the gentleman shot as he was running away, if any individual but certainly by those who are of a minority ethnicity, just immediately follow the instructions of a law enforcement individual (and deal with whether they were right or wrong in their actions later on), every single one of these individuals would be alive today.
Whether whiite or black or any other ethnicity, no individual gets shot when immediately following instrctions by law enforcement. No one.
When you do not obey instructions, you are putting your life at risk and in the hands of a law enforcement individual who may indeed make a bad decision in the heat of the moment that may cost you your life.
It was not their intent but it was the end result. Bad decisions are made in the heat of a battle.
If the first goal of your day every day is to live another day, to live as long as you can in this world, then you make the decision that you 100% know will let you reach that goal for another day.
Immediately follow instructions off all law enforcement individuals. If you do, you will be alive for yet another day.
