Just read that Jackie had over 70 schools that showed interest. She has her list down to her top 8 schools ( Virginia Tech, St John's, Wisconsin, Clemson, James Madison, New Hampshire, Seton Hall, Rutgers. It says she will make her desision in 2-3 weeks.

Wow....imagine going from Siena to playing for C.V.Stringer. Good for her. I believe our former assistant Craig Carter is also on the staff at Wisconsin....that would also be interesting.

Coach Cater is at Wisconsin but they suck 9-22.I have the up most respect for Coach Vivian Stringer but they didn't have a great season either 6-24. The two school that surprise me the most in her top 8 are James Madison (CAA Conference) and New Hampshire (America East Conference). Those are lateral moves to me. Although I wish the current coaching staff nothing but the best something just doesn't add up.

Right there with you. I know Wisconsin sucked and that Rutgers is down but she might be the spark needed in either place, no? Again, I wish her the best.

Although I wish the current coaching staff nothing but the best something just doesn't add up I have no idea what Benitez is looking for in a new program, but if an antidote to losing is what she is seeking, then James Madison is the best program on the list. JMU has averaged 27 win and 7 losses per season over the last 10 years never winning fewer than 24 games. Over that period they made the NCAA tournament 6 times winning one game and compiling a 10-4 record in the postseason WNIT the other 4 season including an appearance in a WNIT championship game. The name JMU might not have the cachet of a Rutgers, Wisconsin, or even a Seton Hall to most, but it's probably her best chance to get to the NCAA tournament as a contributing member of the team. It's anything but a lateral basketball move.

I do believe old fox hit the nail on the head with the search for an antidote to losing.

I do believe old fox hit the nail on the head with the search for an antidote to losing. I agree. Now the question is can the new in coming class get the program back to winning games and compete in conference?

JMU is my prediction ... Coach Mitchell was probably involved in recruiting Jackie to Siena ... so there is already a relationship established

I have not heard of anything. I did check the 8 schools she mentioned ( Virginia Tech, St John's, Wisconsin, Clemson, James Madison, New Hampshire, Seton Hall, Rutgers) and I don't see her anywhere on there roster. I really wonder if she was in good standings with Siena?
