Siena 31-41 at the half.
The good news is Jackie's hitting her 3's but we're allowing to many easy baskets. We've also missed too many easy put backs.

Quinny too much for us today, 60-76 final.
That's ok, we'll get them in March.

I commend you IS for fighting the weather to support the ladies. Watching the 1st half the Siena defense backed off Quinny shooters from the foul line or within as they had easy uncontested shots they knocked down. Asked about the 1st half performance Alie stated that giving up 41 points was unacceptable. And Teresa Coles and Watson commented that Siena wasn't challenging shots. Also over 20 turnovers wasn't acceptable. They don't value the basketball. And lastly, Gibson should never see any court time. And the team has another full year of her to come.

Certainly a valid point about backing off shooters. Too many times it looked like a Siena defender was giving way too much space to Quinny players, literally guarding no one. If you're five/six feet from an opponent, you aren't playing defense. I guess the Siena defenders were concerned about the person with the ball going by them on a drive, so they backed away, leaving Quinny with wide open shots. Turnovers are always a problem with this team. They average 17 a game on the season. Just kills them. Today, Quinny had almost as many turnovers, but at one point the Time Warner play-by-play guy said that Siena had scored only two points off what I think he said was 13 Quinny turnovers at that point. Not a winning formula, particularly if you're trying to beat the best team in the league.

Would have been a much more successful team if they hadn't lost highly skilled Margot Hetzke a former Rookie of the Year. I saw her make some good plays even in a limited appearance this season.

I believe she would have been a stabilizing force. I hope she can play next year but feel that's not going to happen. Also Hankla where have you been for the bus trips. I guess your not the NUMERO UNO SIENA FAN.
