Wish MW the best. He's always been good and hungry to get better. Been watching him since the 7th grade. Sorry to hear this hope he figures it out. He"s always outplayed most high-mid major PG in HS. Good kid too.

I haven't seen a bunch games but I did see the GW game live at GW and I did see the Albany game online. It's hard for me judge since I haven't seen as many games as you guys have. I did expect with experienced group that they wouldn't be 4-11. I said few years ago they lack 3pt shooting. College bball these days you have to have multiple long range shooters on the court.

Chip did a fine job messing this kid all up.... It's all about confidence," Wright said. "I think it's a lot of people just thinking a lot, and they don't want to miss. ... And I know that's how I am right now. Am I a scorer or do I pass the ball, or do I do this or do I do that?" Where is that quote from? Confusion reigns supreme, that's how the whole team looks, then Brett gets pissed off and takes over.

If this is accurate, and I have no reason to doubt it, it screams that the staff under JP (sorry, I know that's an ugly scene to contemplate) is an island in this very confused sea. Assistant coaches are, in most systems, supposed to keep their eyes/ears open for personal/academic issues and create an atmosphere where issues/problems/concerns etc. can be discussed away from the HC. The assistant would then suggest possible solutions and/or have a one-on-one with the HC. This program needs those interrelationships even more than most given the ADHD-like behavior extant in JP - I can't imagine having a serious conversation with him that I would initiate - JMO. Given the image of an unforgiving HC that JP is presenting, I am sure a lot of shit is being internalized and fermenting rather than passing. The assistant coach merry go round coupled with the reality that Greg seems attached to JP at the hip doesn't seem to lead to an atmosphere where the assistants can have a tough talk with the boss.

And I know that's how I am right now. Am I a scorer or do I pass the ball, or do I do this or do I do that?" JP might want to make a very easy and likely effective change - when a TO is called, first get together with your staff away from the team - let the team settle - cool yourself down - collect input - collect your thoughts - decide on a play/message/etc., then speak to the seated players with ONE VOICE - yours. Too often, JP is off staring down officials, bitching at a kid that just got yanked, or blankly looking in while an assistant talks to the kids and then sometimes he jumps in or grabs one as they head back on the floor. At the Niagara game the TV caught him standing with the bench players with a questioning look on his face and watching while one of the assistants was squatting down with the on the floor players. There is zero cohesion - no wonder the quarterback doesn't know what to do, especially in end game critical situations, a glaring weakness for this group....

Alum, premium season ticket holder and athletic fund donor. Anything else, junior? Great. What is your coaching resume? Up your donation for the buyout. You got nerve asking for anybody's credentials without stating yours. What's your point? Think JP's doing a good job? You predicted 21-22 wins - Nice job! Stop it with the buyout shit! Are people not allowed to make critical comments while you only blame the players and forget who gets paid handsomely to recruit, coach, develop and motivate them, plus scout, plan and draw the X & O durung the game? Plus disrespecting the fans and alums who have supported this program. Have you made one critical comment of the guy who RUNS this SHOW? You happy with immature Technicals taking away points and allowing the opponent to go on more of a roll? Embarrassing.

And since you asked about a posters credentials to which her responded, its fair to expect you to answer some questions (hopefully more than one-liners). Instead of continually bashing the players (like JP does backhandedly), tell us why you think he is earning his salary and should continue to receive it and be the face of our school and program? After 4 years what do you like about him? What gives you confidence about his 5th year and beyond to make you think he can legitimately compete for the MAAC conf title? His recruiting, game prep, player development and motivation? We're waiting to hear.
