I don't see us beating Bucknell..Hofstra...or Vermont...if that does happen we would be 3 and 10... They're all meaningless games, what difference does it make! Hey maybe because they're all "meaningless" we can get a partial refund on our season tickets.

Keep playing the Flying Dutchman and Shivers over Fisher in my opinion. Next game: Holiday visit to Glens Falls, Saturday December 17th, vs Bucknell, noon. What is going on with Smithen? 17 minutes, 0 shots, 4 fouls, 1 rebound, 3 turnovers and 2 steals. Not a very good stat line. Is he another transfer that can't produce that we're stuck with for 2 more years? or has Jimmy put the reigns on him?

I was so frustrated at half time I shut down my computer. The transition defense in the first half was non-existent and resulted in way too many fast break lay-ups for FGC. In addition, if we are going to allow FDG's big guys to post up so close to the hoop, we have to front them with help from weak side rather than play behind them and let them get a bunny. I assume we played with more passion and smarts in second half and I applaud the players for refusing to quit but the game was lost in the first half.

In his post game presser Jumbo made a big point of how they kept Marquis' broken hand a secret - not even wrapping it - afraid defenses would key on it. I now get how HJ wasn't surprised when 6 broke the news the other night - HJ heard it at staff meeting weeks ago and his alcohol addled brain got his facts screwed up thinking he read it here. Hiding the hand is one thing but not doing whatever is necessary to promote healing (6 weeks of rest) is, IMO, unconscionable. This is not the NBA although that seems to be the main screen of focus our HC uses to relate basketball motivation to his players. Allowing Nico to play through pain is absurd and likely contributed to a condition that has obviously gone beyond benefit of a surgical repair (as a few of us noted and got ridiculed for last spring when surgery was announced). LL was on crutches on Thursday and playing on Friday. Jumbo said he was holding Nico back to rest him - pure BS - Nico dressed and went through pre-game drills and told Jumbo he didn't think he could play. I think the physical stewardship of these kids is suffering due to a .500 HC trying to overachieve.

1-1 in the MAAC. He had to say it. "I've been in the league 13 years. It's all about the maac". He says clareth was hurt but we have eyewitness reports of him jumping out of the gym... Coach was giving him a timeout for the 5-22 / 0-8 me first Rider performance. Question begs why didn't he have a chat with him during the game, we were shooting like shit vs Rider & did Patsos change anything up? Nope instead we chucked up perimeter shots one after another, typical JP in game coaching.
