Papi is on to something here. The coach sees what EF, Friday and WB can do every day in practice and he makes the decision. Game time is not meant to see what a player can do. Game time is for players who have shown in practice that they deserve time on the court when it matters. I say that having not been to practice on a daily basis. If any of you are there daily and believe the HC is making the wrong call then you may be in a better position to judge. If you are not there daily than Papi's position seems sound. I'd usually agree with that Bill, but after Cam Gottfried got minutes over Kinnon LaRose last year, it had to make you wonder. All coaches have favorites for whatever reason, so I see nothing wrong with posters expressing their opinions on who should get time over who. It's a fan board. We re supposed to do that kind of stuff! Lol

No question about it, this is a fan board where we exchange opinions. That’s what this board is about. Any one poster can be wrong- generally speaking over the years the majority opinion on this board is usually right. I will say it's early and we have had suspensions and something is definitely not right with Brett. We are 4 games in Jimmy should have some time to reflect on who is getting job done and who isnt.

I agree Tony, as long as that also includes self reflection on recruiting, disciplinary actions post suspension (we have had players with designated babysitters previously to keep them on the court) and head scratching in game management decisions. I'm going with there is something very wrong as a previous poster in this thread has stated.

I agree with this to a point, but if the effort and results in practice do not translate over to actual game time results, something has to give. We don't need to be at every practice to see a kid (or kids) aren't quite cutting it come game time. At some point you try different things. We have all known in our lives practice heroes and we have all known practice goats... some shine when the lights turn on (the goats) and some just can't translate their practices into game situations.... up to the coach to figure out when its time to move on. Prime example is Friday comes in and basically grabs a handful of boards immediately.... Fisher plays 20 mins and doesn't get that many..... Maybe fisher beats up WB and friday in practice, but that means very little to me when you do nothing come tipoff. at his size. he should back into 6 boards a game.
