And you know he has an inflated ego about his playing ability how? You're right every kid isn't blue chip or the next Jordan, especially at this level. But that's why the suits are paid big sums of money. It's their job to identify and recruit kids with talent that fit into their program, can be developed, maximized and properly utilized in game situations. Not, in my humble opinion to hope that the next transfer that pops through the revolving door is going to be the answer to all the teams deficiencies.

I wish this kid nothing but the best! That being said - more than ever we have cases like this! Where kids have inflated egos about their playing ability and their minutes on the court! And it's worse now with social media! Along with wispers from god knows who! BREAKING NEWS: Not everyone is a blue chip prospect or the next Jordan! What a cheap tasteless shot at a great kid who had no such ego or irrational beliefs about his game. Stick to lobbying the pols and not us true Siena fans. Does hubby have you do all his dirty laundry!

Fair points, but in this particular case, the facts seem to be that the staff recruited LaRose believed he had the talent and that he would develop into a contributor, but he chose to go in another direction.

Are you saying that Kinnon has an inflated ego....i think he just wanted a chance... Agreed. But he played 6 mins/game as a frosh and by all accounts was in the plans for the future. No comments from the peanut gallery but I can remember when freshman were not eligible to play at all. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Isn't it reasonable to assume he would increasingly be given more chances?

I just want everyone one to know that I officially won the 'transfer' thread. I did, in fact, get the last word in.

The ticker tape parade is tomorrow at noon. I expect you all there.

Followed by lunch at KKs favorite spot Chucky Cheese I've actually never been to one but we can go there after. I hope they have a ball pit. I love ball pits. It's like rolling around in a litter box. My favorite.

Does hubby have you do all his dirty laundry! Was going to post a similar comment TH24 is a loon I was talking in general about transfer and recruiting process today ! Not LaRose! This kid my all accounts is wonderful!
Dick Vitale “College basketball has been plagued by the transfer bug. It is turning into an epidemic. You used to see a handful of transfers each year. The number of transfers has tripled in the past 10 years. This year alone, more than 500 players have opted to switch uniforms from one Division I school to another. That's the size of a small phone book. In the bigger transfer picture, some kids go looking for instant gratification and leave for a bigger role. When I was coaching at the University of Detroit in the 1970s, we had more time to evaluate players and there was no early signing period, so coaches knew more about the players they were signing. There also was less emphasis on immediate success because kids weren't leaving early. Back then, most players who transferred left for smaller programs closer to home to get more PT.”

Very sorry to see Kinnon leaving. Really liked what little we saw of him this year. Seems to have a high basketball IQ, hustles, and can shoot. He may struggle a bit defensively, but I'm pretty sure you can never have enough good shooters, regardless of what a player's perceived deficiencies may be.
Good luck to a quality young man.

So, officially, I was the last person to comment/pass judgement on the topic ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)
