I let him run with it. Betting Heurter gets Kinnons scholarship. Kinnon shocked the staff with his intention on leaving. They really saw him as a viable replacement for Oliver next year. He wasn't up for the challenge. Had a lot of hard work in front of him this summer in order to earn 15-20 min a night. D-2 should be next stop, but there's alot of D-3's near home that he could be the "man" at. Growing up in a one light town didn't help him in this case. Great kid, good student, liked by everyone. Hope he lands at a place where he can be successful. This is the post of an arrogant ass and is totally WRONG about the this kid. He was raised with integrity and character, he expected the same from this program. Sorry Mrs. LaRose ;(

Why is everyone so angry. Kinnon is a good kid and a good student we all wish him the best.
The minutes at Siena were just not available for him. Sure he had a few nice shots but he was constantly beat by his man on D.
Again lets just wish him the best, not every transfer or pissed off player is the coaches fault.

Everything that goes wrong is the coach's fault, but nothing that goes well can be attributed to the HC. Please consider this axiom before posting. ;-)

Many of you couldn't give two shits if any of these kids are up to the challenge of going to class or writing a paper but oh we're OK with all of that. If the staff, especially the HC was shocked then he was too busy listening to his own pompous posturing rather then to the body language of the kids under his masterful 'tutelage'. His is the kind that rewards student athletes that can't get themselves out of bed to make practice or the bus on time, or who step on the court 'not in the mood to play' like Sam Schizophrenia. This is the post of an arrogant ass and is totally WRONG about the this kid. He was raised with integrity and character, he expected the same from this program. You're right about one thing, he is a great kid and a good student (not that we care about that) and everyone on campus likes him. He will land at a place that will be much better for him; we used to be that place. If you think things are bad at Siena, consider how I feel about the tire fire at my alma mater.

You know damn well I am not Mrs. LaRose. Greenie, you are a great fan and I always enjoy your posts. But how is this a matter of "character and integrity?" We were his only offer and he was a kind of project. Would likely gotten more time next year if he could overcome the limits of his athleticism. HJ says he chose on his own to leave. No sign he was run. I don't think your post was fair. Nor was Sky's earlier in the day about another coach maybe recognizing his "talent." Would I preferred he had stayed? Sure, But I can't see any promises having been broken to the kid.

You know damn well I am not Mrs. LaRose. You're sure acting like her. Not sure where you saw me say Kinnon was a bad kid or not raised with integrity? If you did your homework, you'd realize who turned the staff on to this kid 2 years ago. He would have had plenty of chances to earn time next year. They wanted him to stay, whether you believe that or not, it's 100% true. You can't stand this coach, we all get it, but this has nothing to do with him. Maybe you don't watch the games, but JP pulls EVERY kid that makes a mistake. He might have more leash with his all maac guys, and let them shoot out of a slump, but that's because they earned that on the floor. Ask Tommy Heurter about that. Marc Brown could miss 8 shots in a row and never get yanked, but if he or Mike Brown missed one, they'd be looking over their shoulder to see who was coming in for them. Whether you like it or not, this is a business. People lose their livelihood if they don't perform, especially here!! The pressure to win is ridiculous. Not every kid has the personality to deal with these pressures. Kinnon was wanted here. He decided to leave because he thinks he d have more success at a different school. He's probably right. I see no shame in that. But you're trying to make it an issue. It's someone's "fault" all the time. Maybe it just wasn't what he wanted?! Try that angle sometime when one of your boys leaves. Not everything is a tragedy.

That’s the bottom line – this is a business—kids have to perform, and Jimmy has to perform—or he loses his job. I hate to see Kinnon go- but I understand why. Let’s face it with Kadeem coming on board, Joseph- playing time was going to be very difficult for Kinnon to ‘earn” ..only thing I can fault Jimmy for—and it’s a minor thing, every second ( not in garbage time) that Cam got—Kinnon should have got this past season—and even that we are not talking about a lot of time. Sometimes kids just want to play somewhere- and that’s not a bad thing

But as Tony said, if Siena wants to be a consistent top 25 MM program, you must have the talent. In my mind Kinnon was too slow to compete in Division I. I hope that he becomes a star in the right system made for his AAAAA shooting skills.

Since whatever I say is so hard for you to figure out , it doe not matter what I m trying to say. Just don't deal with the cryptic messages at all yourself. When see Melva you know it's cryptic , let it go. I already every point I need to make about "run offs" before today. So that s not it. Now you can talk to the ' club' members and leave me be.

This post may be about as productive as p*ssing into the wind, but here goes:
I had heard earlier in the off-season that Kinnon was considering leaving and that the staff was trying to talk him out of doing so. Having seen all of the home games and a handful of road games, I agree that Jimmy should have played him more, and certainly ahead of Cam. There was more than one game to which the LaRose family or at least part of it made a long trip presumably to see Kinnon play and they had to have left disappointed. I acknowledge that he was not given the opportunity to play through his mistakes, but that lack of opportunity was not limited to Kinnon. As well as Nico played, there were times that he was the victim of the quick hook, like everyone else except Marquis, Brett and Javion. The fact that the staff tried to persuade him to stay is to me evidence that JP wants him here in spite of how little time he got. I respect his decision to transfer, although I wish that he had stayed, but I disagree with those who are claiming that Jimmy ran him off.

Can't we all just get along? C'mon! We would go to the MAAC board if we wanted to get along.
