great, safety school for an A-10 kid lol... move on then, don't fall in the mitch rabbit hole and end up picking up scraps. I think the goal is to get kids who also have offers from A-10 or higher programs. Siena has been on Trueheart for a long time, it is not like they went after him when he had no other offers. Going head to head with A-10 and better programs is what we want of Siena.

Absolutely, agree but we all know that some kids/families are much more concerned with being 'big time' rather than finding the right fit. Time with tell With ST.

That's always the case with parents these days! It's starts in elementary school- thinking their kid is the next Labron or Jeter! Then the egos of both the parents /kids begin to grow - with YouTube videos and endless summer camps! #TooMuchPressure #LetKidsBeKids

I agree, but coaches must have known early on if he was looking to go as high as he can go.... its a tough balancing act for the coaches for sure, to figure out how much time and and resources should go into a kid before they pull the plug.... because if you stay til the end and you lose out, you probably missed a few other kids too. Not an easy job at all.

Not an easy job at all. That is one way of looking at it, or you stay involve and cultivate plan A+, A, B+++...as well. For those who really are a reach you stay in touch just in case they don't like their first choice or it doesn't work out at the Big East, Big Ten or ACC school they chose. You always have to stay involved and "interested" to be in the game as their first choice or their fall back if their first choice doesn't work out for some reason. That is where you get the higher level transfer, by keeping in touch and being involved and "interested" all the way to the end.

Case in point, Rutgers coach just got fired and URI coach Hurley is the number 1 option to replace him. Siena had recruited at least two of URI's signees. Maybe they follow him to Rutgers, maybe they are not good enough to be impact player in the Big 10 and Hurley will need to win so maybe they won't. So will they like the new hire at URI or look to go elsewhere? If so will Siena's continued interest come into play. That is why you stick around until the end.

I'd be surprised if Hurley went to Rutgers-I guess you never know--and I'm sure Rutgers wants him. I'd guess Lonergan, Cluess or King Rice for Rutgers

If in fact it does happen they'd sure be doing their due diligence to review their prior offers.

Which of the players on URI's roster did JP recruit? I just looked and did not recognize a single name as being a former Siena recruit.

Dowtin and Tertsea per Verbal Commits and recruit.com incoming freshmen.

Thanks. Misunderstood your comment - thought you were talking about the current roster.
