Good game. Monmouth falls short. Interesting to see if the MAAC gets 2 teams in, committee not usually favorable to Mid majors in bubble situations, be nice for the MAAC to get 2 in.

Fairy dancing doesn't win games. After several years Iona realizes that you just can't outscore everybody and must play defense . Iona wins without the cockiness displayed by Monmouth. Congratulations.

What a great game for the MAAC. Hey NCAA, Iona and Monmouth should both go.

Hope that MAAC gets two rather than a so so team from a conference that can't even count up the number of its members.

Seth G says no to Monmouth says MAAC is a weak conference and Monmouth 20+ wins over teams with 150+ RPI. How does the committee view it?

50/50 chance Monmouth gets a trip to Dayton. Iona probably gets a 14.
The last #1 seed to win the MAAC tournament was Siena in 2010.

Iona wins without any more marks on their rap sheet ... They were mugging and spearing Monmouth all game ... Yet the turning point was the technical on Monmouth for mouthing off to English ... Took their spirit and momentum away from them ... Couldn't recover after that

At worst, Hawks will get the same seed as the Gaels if athey get in. Results in other non-power conferences will not help their chances, as both Wichita State and Valpo lost in the semi-finals of their conference tourneys.

Monmouth is clearly on bubble and with a RPI of 53--probably on wrong side of bubble. Only chance Monmouth has is to have very few conference upsets- my guess is Hawks get a good NIT seed

Several high quality road wins, lose a close game in the Conference Championship game to a quality #2 seeded team, Jones has returned and will be better by tournament time- I say(and Joe Lunardi believes) they will get in.

Keep in mind, several tournament teams (Louisville, Syracuse? and maybe SMU?) are on suspension from post season. That opens up some slots.

I think he meant one of the play in 11/12 seed games
