Ray Rice gets a two-game suspension (initially) for knocking out his fiancée, and Brady gets four because some footballs were a bit underinflated? Sounds like they left room to reduce the penalty upon appeal.

And does anyone know why both teams don't use the same footballs all the time? Why does each team get to put it's own ball in play?

Yeah, Brady (and other QBs) lobbied for it. Maybe that rule will be reconsidered now? Why not have the league bring the footballs and the refs manage them throughout the game?

Now a number of people have pointed out..if Brady had come forward in the beginning- showed his cell phone records. Or even said " Look the balls might have been defeated..however I had no clue it was that much"   He would probably only get only a slap on wrist! Maybe only a fine! Instead was defiant, lied and lied some more!
