If it's a coaching issue, which I don't think it is, he will probably have the same issues wherever he goes. JP has been very patient with these kids trying to motivate them. We need some kids with some fire in them. I like the remaining kids and I'm happy about what I hear about the new recruits. Two scholarships now open- hopefully JP gets another 3 star recruit. Patient .. That's what you call it ? Please. With the record we had this year, I wouldn't be upset with anyone leaving except wright.

@lauraamato: Just got off the phone with Troy coach Rich Hurley who said, "phone's been ringing like crazy" with interest over Javion Ogunyemi.

And the beat goes on...............and Javion is not the one I am most worried about. Who is "the one you are most worried about" MP? Don't tease us and leave us hanging like that! Tough break....definitely hurts. Don't know the reason but doesn't look good for JP. Of course nobody knows the full story yet. Just my speculation but I believe JO was close to Lucious Jordan. Good chance Lucious (and Luke) will be gone soon. Wish JO the best - at least it was done now and not in June (i.e. Kojo Mensah) Two 'ships opening - JP needs to get recruiting. Only sliver lining is we are deep up front. Guard play will determine Siena (and Jimmy's) fate next year. Like Siena1971 said Maryland had a bunch of guys move on and got better. Not that we are Maryland but lets face it you go 11-20 and maybe SOME movement isn't bad. Teasing was not intended - I can't and won't comment further. Reading the rest of your post I can only conclude that you could spin a loaded septic tank into a seven course feast. JO's departure does not make us better in and of itself - no way, no how, debate ended. I wonder if the LL at the 4 debate will once again rekindle and become a 4-alarmer (pun intended). If I was JP I'd move LL to the 4 and stay off the pedestrian walkways in downtown Albany.

I liked JO's interior scoring ability. He was efficient inside though not yet dominant. He kept the TOs to a minimum and he was really starting to block a lot of shots.
Before this past year though, JO was actually an afterthought.
He has the worst rebound rate of the bigs.
And it's not like he had Anosike or RyRo next to him that he had to fight for boards with.
This is a set back for sure but not the end of the world.
If Bisping and Silas are healthy, we probably won't even notice....well, we'll notice..but it hopefully won't be as bad as most think.
Brandwijk was just a frosh and could take a big leap forward. He has more that Wignot energy that, at times, was a real defensive spark plug last year. I really look forward to his sophomore jump.
If it's anywhere near Bisping's and JOs...we'll be pretty well off.
Now Fisher will get some actual time while he learns the D1 ropes.

I can't believe you would really think that any Patsos induced dissatisfaction would be the same from other coaches. "Very patient" is, to be kind, a stretch, IMO anyway. I don't think Patsos is any more confrontational than Fran was. I think you are down on JP and lack any objectivity at this point. The team has a lousy record, like it or not, this team isn't that talented. The loss of JO, while not wanted, is manageable and possibly may be a blessing.

Depth is a major issue at the 5 now, WB is a stretch 4 not a banger and relying on EF a frosh ... Well you know how that works for bigs at the MAAC level. This is a major kick in the nuts. JO was making progress and teamed with IS we were fine at the 5.

Wouldn't go so far as blessing but lets face it nobody and I mean nobody is irreplaceable off a team that lost 20 games. For oneindian - this does hurt. I like JO a lot and he was our most improved player last year. But depth up front IS a strength. A lot of pressure now on Brandwijk to make the jump JO did his sophomore year. Hopefully Imoh's getting healthy. I know Brett is already back on the court. This opens the door for Evan Fisher - hope he is ready for the challenge!

Wrong, depth is a major issue at the 5 now, WB is a stretch 4 not a banger and relying on EF a frosh ... Well you know how that works for bigs at the MAAC level. This a kick on the nuts. Siena won 20 games with Bisping and Silas starting. You know, back when our defense was actually good. If you go by rates, Silas would have averaged 2.7 more boards and 1.2 more blocks per game than JO in the same amount of minutes....and that's assuming he didn't improve over his prior year. Now, we need these 2 guys to be healthy...THAT IS FOR CERTAIN. But, these guys formed a defensive tandem that worked. Silas blocks the shots. Bisping draws the charges. And both rebound better. WB is a stretch 4 yes. But his rebound rate was ALSO better than JOs. JO also only forced 9 steals all year. WB picked up 21 in under half the time. He was just a frosh. JO was shitty as a frosh. Sure, they are different players but WB has more upside than JO. He has a different kind of energy and a some different skills. What you lose in some areas, you gain in others. If everyone is healthy, we're still ok.

Evan Fisher is a happy kid today......he was going to be glued to the bench his freshman year, now he really gets a shot to play his first year.
