TH24, good job on posting these two pictures. That was a moment even a hardened Siena fan had to enjoy. As much as I can't stand UA or Will Brown or their fans I am happy for Peter Hooley. No doubt (as Bill Parcells once said) God is playing in some of these games.

respectfully to all my fellow Siena fans, this was the best game I saw all season. Granted, many think the talent in the AE is so much less than ours...I'll leave that to your kenpom and rpi minds. What I saw was two teams with coaches that changed up strategies throughout and credit to them. It was so endearing to me to see Will Brown focused and guided at times during the game by Don Bassett, the man who taught this short fat chick how to be a point guard at the ass crack of title IX over forty years ago. Thanks To the good Lord and possibly the soul of Susan Hooley for putting that last shot through the net! The place is nuts. Hope to make it to HVCC by 4! Like the comment. Congrats to UA Brown players. Job well done. No bashing, different conferences.Wish UA best of luck. Great season.

Not being disrespectful 14 is about it. Body of work, especially OOC average at best. Brown has 4 days to prepare. Good luck.

It was complete luck. SBU choked like a dog. Bs asshole comment SBU missed several FTs down the stretch; so not a total BS comment.

Just a matter of time before these kids start getting injuries from the flops, like comedian/actor Dick Vandyke.

FTs win games, FTs lose games. SB didn't make them, SB lost. Congrats to UA.

UA's win will also make some other team very happy as they open up a slot in the NIT - perhaps Iona will be the lucky recipient - who knows? Congrats again to the Danes - you earned it by a full season's effort - now go enjoy every moment.

Best moment in UA basketball history, no question. Game they didn't deserve to win, they pulled it out in front of a packed house, and on ESPN. Hooley story is an amazing, and one I can directly relate to. Glad for the kid. Sports can transcend life sometimes and this is one of those times.

HJ - Albany shot the basketball as poorly as they did all year. But they hit their free throws, played tough, help defense and hung in to have the opportunity to win the game in last two minutes. They also fouled smartly down the stretch. When they had the opportunity they won the game. It would have been easy for the coaches and players to quit yesterday with little working on offense and against a much more athletic team. Champions figure out how to create opportunities to win. Any old timers recognize coach Bassett's fingerprints on the UAlbany defense and free throw prowess?

Any old timers recognize coach Bassett's fingerprints on the UAlbany defense and free throw prowess? Agree 100% with this. Hooley & Brown were just on CBS. They presented themselves really well! Brown was asked if he had ever given up, and he said 'not at all'. Told the team to hang in, extend the game and play hard. This is what chemistry and grit can do. That's where I want our team to get regardless of what 'talent' we have.
