I started to watch first episode and fell asleep. I definitely want to watch it at some point.

Disappointing series. Not sure how truthful affair between General Gage's wife and patriot Doctor was. Also Sam Adams and companions seemed to be able to travel from Boston to Philly as quickly as we can today. Was great that Samuel Adams beer was a chief sponsor of a series featuring Sam Adams as the lead character.

I totally disagree! I thought the mini-series was extremely good and I even recommended it to my students! Like all historical movies..I'm sure there were bits that were untrue- because you still have to tell a story!

"Historical texts, most notably Paul Revere's Ride suggest that Mrs. Gage allegedly provided Joseph Warren with information regarding General Gage's raid at Lexington and Concord. Although there is no documented evidence that confirms Gage as Warren's informer, speculation of her being a spy for the patriots remained due to her familial ties to America. Among the skeptics was her husband.
