This team is all about one-on-one play and most aren't good at it. They play like they hate each other. The best point guard in the league has 2 assists in 4 games. It did look like that didn't it. I thought I was the only one who thought that. They look liked they wanted to be anyplace but in that game. Apparently the Siena students felt the same way.

It sure appears Cole wasn't the only problem internally.

I guess my disappointment comes from having seen pre-season and early season practices . Maybe a coach should keep all practices closed instead of feeding my optimism. I 'm also disappointed for having to agree with S F about the lack of athleticism . Peacocks were just stronger and more athletic. Finesse basketball is unfortunately a thing of the past. Talk about canning assistants what about the " strength coach"? Paige and W B came in with decent bodies. Lavon has lost his" baby fat". Has any one gotten stronger?

We have to make the shots for our pg to get assists. He is passing the ball like he always does. I wasn't saying he's not. Although I don't think he's getting the chance to pass as much as normal. Too many others are holding the ball for themselves or trying to be "point guards in power forward bodies" as Huerter said Friday.

Peacocks play together like the spend 8 hours a day on the court . That's not possible is it ? Could be if you have a Sports major.

We have a "zoned" bench - that certainly doesn't increase team comradery - from right to left viewing from the court we have the injured reserves, the walk-ons, Garrett, the not so active potential bench, Lucious, Luke, the "hot seats" for those one or two players receiving constant "guidance" re how f'ked up they are while playing 20 questions with a mad man posing as head coach, and Greg. A model I'm sure is emulated by many other D1 programs - NOT!

They start two senior guards, and a senior PF that could easily make 3rd team All-MAAC. Not making excuses, but anytime you have two seniors starting in your backcourt in this league, you're gonna be in good shape. No energy today. Wright is the one we feed off, and he didn't seem very interested today. We just don't have kids that can score the ball off the bounce. Create their own shots. Our post entry passing is awful. It's gonna be a long year folks. Kids coming back from injury, and with a few impact recruits, we can be back in the mix in '15-'16. This years a wash. 12 wins will be a chore.

Yeah I'm the eternal optimist but this is looking like a 12 or 13 win season - maybe we get to Sunday in the MAAC tournament if we're lucky. But I don't see a repeat of last year's CBI run. Something is missing with this team and it isn't likely to appear this season. It's not just the injuries - something has been off all year - chemistry, lack of focus, whatever. Next year is a critical year for Jimmy. The third year is HUGE for a coach and the team will basically be all of his players. It's time for him to show his recruiting ability and sign two studs. Siena will get Silas and Bisping back (still hope Brett comes back if he can this year). We will miss Poole and won't replace all of his numbers but two athletic shooters will help fill the gaps. If we don't seriously contend for the MAAC title next year Jimmy is going to be on the hot seat - there's no other way around it. This will be the fifth year we have not contended for a MAAC championship. While he isn't responsible for the first three of those years and took over a tough situation this fan base is getting restless and it is definitely understandable. I'm still behind JP and think he'll get it done but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried or had no doubts about him.

I think there are going to be surprises with the team at the end of the season.

Sound familiar? My god.
“I just didn’t think we emotionally had it,” Siena coach Jimmy Patsos said. “I’ll take that as a coach. I’ll accept the blame. It’s my fault. I just thought we’d be sky high going for the (weekend) sweep.”

Siena has great coaching.
Go to a women's game and sit behind the bench. You'll enjoy the show.

She really builds up her players and is constantly coaching them and showing them how to do things right. She got on the bench early in 2nd half when they weren't cheering team on enough and those kids really act like a team and seem to like each other.

I think the women's team is very well coached t To have as many wins with so few available players is fantastic . She hollers but her team knows how to move the ball, play defense, and compete for 40 minutes. St. Fran loses his top player early in yesterday's game and can't compensate or inspire his team to compensate.
