You guys are all nuts. You would rather have White and Cole take all Hymes minutes. Are you crazy! Neither of them have shown they can make a single three, let alone five or six threes. They each bring their value to the team and I like them both in their own ways but to say a proven senior is to lose "all" his "earned" minutes vs. two unproven underclassmen kids who have been inconsistent at best in their short time here shows your not being objective. Take your blinders off and wake up and see the light fellas. Hymes is a "talented" "D-1" level hoop player who is a valuable piece to this team. When its all said and done, in limited minutes of 15 to 20 per game, at seasons end, he will be our 5th or 6th leading scorer for average; scoring at least 8 to 10 per game and will be number 2 or 3 assist leader on the team.

I think the frustration is the constant negative discussion regarding Hymes. We know what he does not do well but don't need to be reminded of it when he does something well or has a nice game. I lay off the discussion on Hymes... but when people start calling for him to get more minutes... I will remind them of exactly what he is. A nice D2 player.

Hymes has scored over 1,000 pts at Siena, which is a D1 program...............when he is used properly, he can be very effective.............should he get careless or make some bad mistakes, then his leash needs to be tighter............Patsos generally can figure this out!!!!!!!!!!!!

I disagree I think that's a terrible assessment. Just because he has shortcomings and deficiencies does not mean he is a DII player. I'm not talking just about his scoring either. He still makes things happen offensively, is active defensively, and when he isn't turning it over driving inside or with a boneheaded play, then he is effective at this level. I'm not saying he needs more than 15 minutes a game, but it's obvious you just don't like his game So you reduce him to a DII player.

something else should be noted here.................when the heck is it a slight or bad to be a D2 or D3 player..............if you are playing college basketball at any level, you are a pretty good player!!!!!!!!!!

Its a slight to call a proven DI player a DII player. Hymes is in his 4th year "playing" DI basketball. You can have your opinion of his game but you cant change history

If I was recruiting and saw him play in high school (something our illustrious prior coach didnt even do) I wouldve never noticed him as a possibility at the D1 level. With this team <10 minutes is perfect. Hes on the team so.... You roll the dice 30+ times a season and hope for the best... those rare occasions where the stars align maybe he gets 15 mins

You can have your opinion of his game but you cant change history He was recruited sight unseen by the worst head coach in division 1 history. I cant change that either. If Cheech and Chong hadn't been hitting the pipe leaving Patsos desperate he would've been back home playing D2

You guys get way too carried away with Hymes—Of course he is a D1 player. Kid is one of if not the quickest player in MAAC and he can shoot. Jimmy wants to win as much as anyone. If Evan plays consistently he will get more time, if not he won’t. He won’t get more time because he is a “leader” or the fact he played a lot of minutes under Mitch. His play “this” season will dictate his minutes. My guess is he averages about 10 to 12 min a game. If he ends up getting more than that, again I’m fine with that, it will mean he is playing well. Evan will help us win games this year.

Yes Tony. We all have our opinion and rather than continue the never ending argument we should all agree to disagree on the topic. Myself included.
