Ok lets play. This guy says these 4 teams consist of the top 4 at the positions listed for the preseason. Who does not belong, is in the wrong place, or who should be added? Dont change the positions and you must use the positions listed on the roster for the players you want to add. You guys know more about the MAAC players than I do. I am really curious as to how your list would look with this criteria. Oh course the ALL MAAC teams wont be by positions and there will only be 3 teams. G/Fs can be guards or forwards on roster F/Cs can be Fowards or Centers on the roster Pg 1.AJ English Sr Iona 2.Desi Washington Sr SPU 3.Zach Lewis So Canisius 4.KJ Rose So Fairfield 2g 1.Rob Poole Sr Siena 2.Zaid Hearst Sr Qpac 3.Khalid Hart So Marist 4.Jimmy Taylor So Rider Guard/Forwards 1.Chavaughn Lewis 6'5 Sr Marist 2.Deon Jones 6'6 Jr Monmouth 3.Andrew Nicholas 6'6 Sr Monmouth 4.Isaiah Williams 6'7 Jr Iona Forwards 1.David Laury 6'9 255 Iona Sr 2.Marvin Dominique 6'7 215 SPU Jr 3.Marcus Gilbert 6'6 185 Fairfield Jr 4.Lavon Long 6'7 222 Siena So Forward/Centers 1.Ousmane D. 6'9 225 Qpac Jr 2.Health 6'9 230 Canisius Sr 3.Brett Bisping 6'8 233 Siena Jr 4.A. Andujar 6'6 225 MH Sr PPC. Jordan Heath graduated already if you didn't get hint. I'd venture to say he doesn't belong on 2nd team. Otherwise I nominate Ryan Rossiter. If this guy doesn't even know who is eligible, you shouldn't be taking anything he says seriously. And, again, it's Emmy not Ammy. You dont have to take him seriously. I asked who you would remove or add.

i thought long was a guard/forward. maybe he isnt top 4 at that position. or do we just get to pick and choose? He is not top 4 as a G/F but he is the 4th best F per the list

Well the list must be fine with the exception of Wright not being there and a few expressed issues with how the guards are listed. Since no one has a better list I will use this as my preseason watch list. It looks accurrate enough for me

M. Dominique AJ English D. Laury O. Drame Z. Hearst
K. Hart I. Williams R. Poole B. Bisping M. Gilbert
C. Lewis D. Jones D. Washington E. Andujar J. Taylor
1st Alternates:
Z. Lewis M. Wright L. Long A. Nicholas
This is the homeristic view. Lewis and/or Jones would probably be higher than Bisping.

Golden State sent a scout to check out Poole. He needs to be 1st team.

The pre-season ALL MAAC team is actually pretty easy to figure out, coaches do same thing every year- just look at who made the post season ALL MAAC team and is coming back, for instance KK has Marist’s Lewis 3rd team, not likely since he the leading returning scorer in MAAC and finished 2nd team last year – returnee’s from last season 1st team A.J. English 2nd team David Laury (Iona), Chavaughn Lewis (Marist), Ousmane Drame (Quinnipiac) 3rd team Zaid Hearst (Quinnipiac) Marvin Dominique (Saint Peter’s), Rob Poole (Siena) so guarantee you that group is all 1st and 2nd team Preseason ALL MAAC
KK has Lewis too low, Iona Williams too high ( he is 28th scorer in MAAC last season,) Bisping had better stats , Andujar averaged 8 points he isn’t making a pre season team – and keep something in mind preseason all maac means nothing – the post season ALL MAAC team I’m sure will look much different. It’s usually dominated by players from top 4 or 5 teams, with preference towards seniors – so obviously someone from Jaspers will make team if they finish top 4 or 5
1st team A.J. English David Laury Chavaughn Lewis Ousmane Drame Zaid Hearst
2nd team Rob Poole Marvin Dominique Desi Washington Khallid Hart D Jones
3rd team M. Gilbert B Bisping A Nicholas J Taylor I Williams

Pg 1.AJ English Sr Iona 2.Desi Washington Sr SPU 3.Zach Lewis So Canisius 4.KJ Rose So Fairfield
2g 1.Rob Poole Sr Siena 2.Zaid Hearst Sr Qpac 3.Khalid Hart So Marist 4.Jimmy Taylor So Rider
Guard/Forwards 1.Chavaughn Lewis 6'5 Sr Marist 2.Deon Jones 6'6 Jr Monmouth 3.Andrew Nicholas 6'6 Sr Monmouth 4.Isaiah Williams 6'7 Jr Iona
Forwards 1.David Laury 6'9 255 Iona Sr 2.Marvin Dominique 6'7 215 SPU Jr 3.Marcus Gilbert 6'6 185 Fairfield Jr 4.Lavon Long 6'7 222 Siena So

This list is not the ALL MAAC list. It is one writers opinion of the top 4 players at each position in the MAAC. This was done for every conference. They also have an All American list done the same way. If he is way off what would you change. If there is nothing to change then I guess you agree with it
Everyone believes Wright should be in the pg group but who do you take out and why?

Easy no way is KJ Rose better than Wright, AJ English isn’t really a PG ,and neither is Desi Washington or Zach Lewis- so how can you value anything the writer posted if he doesn’t know the MAAC or its players ? - I mean this guy rated a graduated player 2nd team ALL MAAC- disregard anything he says

I just accept it as their opinion. I think this guy went with the numbers and does not value the most important stat of a pg. And that's why Wright was not included. All of these guys make mistakes esp with MM conferences but not exclusively. 1.AJ English Sr Iona PPG RPG APG 17.2 3.9 4.3 2.Desi Washington Sr SPU PPG RPG APG 13.5 3.1 1.0 3.Zach Lewis So Canisius PPG RPG APG 9.5 2.2 1.6 4.KJ Rose So Fairfield PPG RPG APG 8.0 3.4 3.7 Marquise Wright So Siena PPG RPG APG 8.7 3.9 5.2 Looks like a bias for Fairfield because the numbers dont add up. As for the others being pgs thats the writers decision on positions and it looks like he picked the top 1and2s

As Siena fans we have gone through this before- as a freshmen and sophomore Ronald Moore was one of if not the best Points in conference, since he didn’t score he didn’t get any accolades, as Siena became a dominant team , Ronald got his due as a PG his junior and senior season despite the fact he didn’t score. So basically if Saints win as a team— individual accolades all MAAC honors etc. will sure to follow

Those little guys that try to score first think they have to in order to shine. They do that all of there lives and never develop the skills and IQ to run a team. Wright is my guy....I saw that during the pick up game on the visit. He knows what he means to our team and does not worry about being on any list. His reward is to win games. I am just having fun with this list and trying to learn more about the MAAC players.

And as Siena wins games—the all MAAC honors, national recognition etc will come for all the players. This year is a big opportunity for Siena to establish itself as "the" team in the MAAC again ( Where we belong)

2Gs
1.Rob Poole Sr Siena PPG RPG APG 14.6 5.0 1.6
2.Zaid Hearst Sr Qpac PPG RPG APG 15.5 6.6 1.9
3.Khalid Hart So Marist PPG RPG APG 14.7 3.0 2.5
4.Jimmy Taylor So Rider PPG RPG APG 12.1 3.7 2.3
All of these players shoot 3's
Is easy to see why these guys are the 2nd guards. Rob Poole is the leadind scorer for a contender and starts at the 2
