Wow, thank you so much, I was class of 66 and played a bit for Dan Cuhna the coach yelling at the guys on the baseball team. This is a great piece very well done. Must look like ancient history to the more recent classes, it sure does to me.

I used to love it when the pep band played that fight song and the student section all sang along!

A friend showed me this video last night while watching the game. Hey - that's great - thanks for this. Not sure if that fight/drinking song is in the band's repertoire, but if you could ever play it tonite that would be an appropriate throwback song.

Must look like ancient history to the more recent classes, it sure does to me. Really fun to watch that. Being a Class of '66 grad myself, it's great to see a lot faces that I remember. In that picture at the beginning of the video, the people on the bench (front row of the bleachers in Gibbons Hall.....later remodeled into the Foy Campus Center) are (from left to right): Coach Dan Cuhna; Ed Marakovits; Dan Hollis; John Botticelli; Tom Amello; Bob Flynn; and John Casey. Fans were a bit closer to the floor (and the players!) in those days, weren't they?

A couple of years ago, Fr. Kevin gave us the original copy of the fight song to look at. We had to give it back, so I'm not sure if it was old green bonnet, or something else. I'm going to do some more digging after the season to see what it was, and if we can bring it back. For now, we will have to settle with singing it!

The video is outstanding.........but also a little inaccurate. Botticelli in the picture was class of 1966 and also our Senate President. a66. I used to be art66 but changed to avoid confusion".........I don't like the anonymity of the web. And when I post I don't like my views kept secret. ARE you aka Alan K .

RIP. Billy Harrell. The first Great Indian. A true gentleman
I saw him play as a 9 year old. He could dominate a game. Faster then anyone on the court
I am sure SIENA will give him a grand send off

This is the video I was referring to yesterday on the bus trip. Thanks Greenblood (and everyone else) for reminding me that it was on the Siena board (I think I found it Googling it and it brought me to the Siena board).

The other two guys in the picture with Jack are Frank Ryan (#22) and Frank Lichtenberger (#52). What they don't say in that YouTube piece from Channel 23 is that most of those 30 rebounds were from shots that Jack missed and rebounded himself. ONLY KIDDING, Jack!!!! IS.........I don't see myself any of those class picture pages. They went by a little quickly, but pretty sure I'm not among them. And I didn't wear glasses until my early-40s, so whoever you saw in there wearing glasses, thinking it was me, it wasn't.

I guessed wrong in the Sr class photos being 1966, spoke with Ralph and he indicated it was class of 67. If you were 66, then that's explain why you weren't shown. I have a weird way of making connections (facial recognition) where others don't/can't. I'd say to Dave & Mr. Siena: "Hey, don't you think this player looks like (insert some other DI or MAAC player name here) when comparing them (their physical appearance)." Then Mr. Siena would say: "Don't start". He says that because I'll talk about it for hours (especially if I can't remember that maac player's name but spend the hour providing details of that player. We all know who I'm talking about (some of the time) but then none of us can remember his name. On consistent one was the old Iona player reminded me of the guy from St Joe's a few years back, right Mr Siena?
