I agree but it sure compensates L'ville for getting put on the 4 line.

Personally, I think Louisville is overrated. Yes, horrible draw for Manhattan, a team that plays the same style but with better athletes. (Kind of like Siena/Arkansas) Their seeding is right on.

this is spot on, I have been saying this for awhile with some other hoop crazies.......................seems he doesn't really manage the offense very well, and hurts them in key situations.................now if they had a Ronald Moore type instead, they would stay in the top 25 with the surrounding talent that he has, although I would be a bit concerned as a Hawkeye fan losing Marble after this yr, don't really see a go-to guy for them at that level!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aaron White is a very good talent for them to go to. I have to disagree. Whatever the problem has been with Iowa the past month, I don't think it's Gesell. He plays 24 minutes a game and averages 8 points, 4 assists, with an A/TO rate of 3:1 (actually 2.95:1) against pretty impressive competition. His shooting has been a bit erratic (about 38% overall), but I think he handles the ball well, pushes it up the floor very well, and is a solid defender. As good as Aaron White is, he has been ineffective for long stretches of games lately. Don't know if anything is wrong physically, but he just doesn't seem nearly as aggressive as he was earlier in the year.

I am a huge Big 10 fan. I agree on White, he has not been nearly as good as last year. Very inconsistent. Still a talent but something is off. Disagree on Gesel, he just doesnt pass the eye test despite having okay stats. Seems to make poor decisions and make bad plays at key stretches in games. Not sure of his free throw shooting numbers, but always seems to struggle late in games. (That had Iowa St beat if he could have hit just 1 free throw late in a game) From what I've seen, doesnt appear Fran is particularly enamored with him.
