Jimmy hopes to play at Georgetown (guarantee) in 15-16. If we were in the A10 in 2015-16 then I believe we would not be permitted to play any guarantee games. I'm OK with a guarantee game once in a while but I'd rather see Siena trying to get 2 for 1 deals if that's possible. I thought the MAAC requires two years notice for leaving, or am I confusing that with another league (otherwise we'd have to pay $1mm to get out)? So if the A10 comes calling next yr we may not leave until 2016-17 otherwise have to pay money we can't afford. I wonder if the A10 would offer to pick some of that up if they want a school that bad?

Didn't Loyola just pick up and go? I don't recall if they had to pay a huge buyout. Would be surprised if they paid 1 million to go to Patriot league. In fact if I remember they did not give much notice because I remember the debate of fan bases if they should be allowed to play in the MAAC tournament

I'm thinking 12 conference wins and 6 non-league games. Again it's early but if we could win 11 MAAC games this year - you add more talent/experience + the graduation losses of the rest of the league then I like our chances to win more than 12 MAAC games in 2014-15.

For some reason I have this 2 year notice requirement stuck in my head otherwise a stiff penalty (like $1mm or something).

Last I heard it was 1 million for one year notice, then goes down to 250k for a three year notice. It was put in place after Loyola left. If we can pay Mitch half a mill to interview Siena players, surely we can pay Ensor half a mill to get out of this hellhole if ever offered.

Either that or the rule hadn't gone into effect yet

My understanding is that the Presidents agreed on the higher buyouts, amount depending on amount of notice, but Loyola had not signed the agreement when it announced its departure.

I thought I read something about a buy out &/or providing a longer notice before leaving. Good to know I'm not loosing it.
I probably am loosing it but just got this one sort of right (lucky).

Lose the extra o in losing. It's the auto correct on my phone's software. I'm too lazy to proof read before clicking create post
