Looks like Romney had it right back at the debates. This was in response to Obama's sound-bite dig at Romney saying "The 80's want their foreign policy back." I will give Obama a chance to see what he can do to defuse this. Let's see./

And what makes it even worse is that comment that Obama made to Putin that was caught by a mike after a summit.
Nothing else to do than see if Obama can recover from that and show a backbone.

Needs to show Kennedy-like strength, but I (and probably the country) am not ready for military intervention. Hopefully, strong diplomacy, sanctions and world unity can reverse this and send Putin a msg. I think I know where most of Europe is - have the Chinese said anything publicly?

Kennedy was much like Obama, in that he was a young leader and the Russians thought they could take advantage of him, was probably a little idealistic. Obama thought he was smarter than all the leaders before him, of course he is not, and now he has to play catch up. Much of foreign policy is posturing and Obama comes out of the gate compromising with his opponents, he is a weak lousy poker player and a horrible president. Let's just hope the PW gets out of office soon and we can rebuild.

You can't compare Obama and JFK!
1. JFK was a war hero! 2. JFK was smart enough to take advice from Eisenhower (R)when he needed it! 3. JFK learned from his mistakes and never made them again!

My only comparison was in my first sentence. Believe me Obama is no Kennedy!

Impotence and delusions of grandeur are a terrible combination in a leader.

What concerns me on this is the big picture. The US along with the UK signed a treaty in '94 promising to protect the Ukraine in return for their surrender of old Soviet nukes. Both the US and GB assured their defense.
Note that this is the core principal upon which most of the nuke non-proliferation treaties were based. The US says, hey - you guys don't need nukes because we have them and we'll protect you. If we roll over on this expect the Saudis and many others to assume that we will no longer honor our agreements and that each nation needs to go it alone. This is VERY dangerous.
If we let the Ukraine fall, our word - along with the dollar - will be worthless.
