Team is at it's best offensively when 2 of the 3 shooters (Poole, Oliver and Hymes) are on the court with Wright, Long and Bisping. This has been blatantly obvious all year. Jimmy seems to like having 4 non-shooters on the floor together for 30 mpg though and then wonders at the long offensive slumps. For this reason, I think he should also consider running Oliver out for his 15+ per game but run him out there with the starters to avoid the headstarts we give teams because we're the easiest team in the MAAC to defend for the first 5 minutes of the game. It would also protect 2 bigs from both getting 2 fouls before the 15 min mark which has happened way too many times this year.

I agree with this... the big line up.. is way to easy to defend-- as of late teams have really been concentrating on Poole and Hymes..I like the starting line up of Bisping- Long- Oliver- Poole- Wright-- or even replace Oliver with Hymes... we need more offense to start games- way too often we start out in hole

I would agree that Poole, Oliver, Hymes, Wright, Long and Bisping are your best players on this Siena team! Now let's say you loose Hymes-and add solid PG! And then add Cole! That might win you the MAAC next year..Right?! If Siena looses 2 ( Hymes and Oliver) ...its becomes more of question mark!

Well looks like Jimmy doesn't agree with you...( since Mo already plays more than Ryan) Maurice is a lock down defender who will only get better next year, C'mon th24-- dont be a hater on White - Mo has a great mid range game, has a knack for getting to line-- his shot and shot selection is likely to improve as he gets sophomore jump White is a gritty defensive player, and an elite rebounder. But he is not an offensive player. He's tied for 111th in the MAAC in points per weighted shot. A true measure of efficiency. www.bbstate.com/conferences/MAAC/stats/indiv/PPWS/Metro%20Atlantic%20-%20Standard%20Statistics%20-%20Points%20per%20%28Weighted%29%20Shot/100The odd thing is though he also leads the team in shots attempted per minute played. So he's among the least efficient shooters in the conference taking the most shots for us when he's in the game. Also, he has the worst assist to TO ratio on the team and isn't in the top 60 in the MAAC in the category among just Guards Alone...and he doesn't really handle the ball much. Hypothetically speaking, by the numbers, if Ryan Oliver had played all of White's minutes this year instead of White...you'd sacrifice just under 1 rebound per game, about 10 total steals, but avoid 20 turnovers and add 35 points. White is a gritty, tough player and awesome rebounder and he could improve offensively but we need to be fair both ways when we write one player off for another. Welcome back

First, I think it's more likely Poole/Cole will avg 50-55 min next year than 60. Second, I hope Ryan believes he can earn the available minutes over White & Paige...because that will make everyone work harder at improving their games.
As it stands now, I see Ryan & Mo as equals. Which one plays depends on the matchup and situation. They have very different strengths.

He gets the team playing with great energy and passion but I've been very disappointed with his choice of rotations all year long. I believe that his lineup choices have cost us at least 2 wins and almost cost us many more. Also, he is sometimes really stubborn when it comes to man defense. Still, his passion has improved the team to 11 wins and counting. The Fordham game was the perfect example of being stubborn with man D and playing 4 non-shooters together for 25 minutes against a way more athletic driving team that can't shoot. Then we switch to zone and put in an offensive lineup and the gameplan that should have been the obvious one from the start amazingly allowed us to have our best half all year.

I'm not advocating Siena losing anyone-- all I said if everyone comes back- Oliver will struggle to get minutes next year - I would love to see Siena get a quality PG -- I realize that it wont be easy

Everybody can see this. Poole is struggling because he's the lone gunman on the grassy knoll for half the game. He comes out, then Hymes is the lone gunman. It's a repeating cycle and Jimmy seems to not be adjusting to it.

Some of you need to take your green and gold glasses off..there is a reason why we have only beat two teams with winning records-- and the reason isn't Jimmy..

Beating Iona, Manhattan, and Canisius is a different story. We don't have the all-around team to beat them consistently, no. I'm talking about the teams we matched up well with. If 2 shooters in the lineup at all times was the rule, rather than the exception, every player on the team would find it much easier to score...White included. Throwing White out there with JO, Silas, and Wright is setting him up to fail, for example.
