I'm concerned that this kid committed without visiting campus. How can you commit to a school you've never seen? I know White did the same thing and he seems happy. Looks like Paige can shoot the 3 well, which is what the team needs. According to his current coach:
“I’m sure he’ll be a mismatch for some forwards because he has a college body right now,” Hall said. “We call him ‘The Junkyard Dog’ because he does all the intangibles, all the stuff that kids don’t want to do, diving for balls, boxing out for rebounds. Get a couple of bruises and he’s still strong enough to finish through contact. He shoots the 3 ball exceptionally well. Again, he’s an inside-outside guy.”
I don't think this is the end of recruiting. Signs are pointing towards more departures likely to be announced come March. I think Taplin will end up coming too, as just about everyone says Siena is the favorite - there must be a reason for such assuredness. Even so, it's going to be awfully crowded at the 2 and 3 next season.

Jimmy sounds like a fighter, like his coach. Welcome to the Siena family Junkyard!

I doubt Taplin comes now..IMOP Cole and Hymes will back up pg position. .I cant see a good pg coming to sit behind Wright for 3 years...A big would be nice though..Wright played 40 mins vs Iona...and Paige is really only 6'3 so I doubt he plays inside for us

The only way this is a good signing is if the staff plans on having two additional scholarships available in May. We have much important needs than 6'4" wings.
Doesn't look real athletic to me either. That AAU tape loked like the game, and a majority of the players, was in slow motion.

Either way, it's only a good signing if two of these "similar" sized kids go in May. We still need a strong combo around 6'1", and a legit inside big. Wolfe can be the stretch 4 for the next 3 years. He has the best stroke on the team.

Patsos likes size...I doubt we get a 6'1 guy...Paige is a guard not an inside out guy...he is very simular to White..we can revisit his height when he gets here...I have seen him play in person and my source is very good.

So in your world Paige was recruited for insurance behind Cole-Poole Hymes- White-Oliver and Audu—and I won’t even get into Long? So Jimmy went down to Virginia took a verbal from a kid to be 7 or 8th scholarship player at the 2/3? and we have no back up PG. Remember you told us in September that team would stand pat no scholarships would open up. Don’t be that person to make same mistake again. I guarantee you recruiting is not done

From a week ago - Paige hitting a 3, short news highlight.
Jimmy Paige going up against Andrew Wiggins' Huntington Prep last year - tons of D1 talent in this game. Paige #4. Wiggins Highlight editing doesn't focus on Paige but you can see him in the run of play a bit.
Some more of Paige leaving his man open in the corner, but apparently was high scorer.
EDIT: I personally don't take much stock in highlight videos/short clips of recruits. However, seeing that I had never even heard of this player as a target until they were signed, I thought it was nice to at least use them to get some sort of a base familiarity.

Important questions. When he was measured did he have his shoes on and were his feet together or apart?

Not sure, he just said he wanted to come to Siena for their 5-guard offense.....
