Looking ahead to tomorrow's MAAC-up.
Rider ranks: - 1st in MAAC scoring at 80.8 PPG - Next to last in Defensive PPG, allowing 81.2.
They have four players averaging double figures and shoot FT's (75% as a team) & 3's (43.5% as a team) tremendously well, but don't rely heavily on the 3 ball.
Zedric Sadler is the only PG in the MAAC with a better Asst/TO ratio (2.8) than Wright (1.9).
Danny Stewart is in what seems like his 8th year in the MAAC, scoring efficiently and leading the team in rebounds.
Expect a significantly more up-tempo game than yesterday's scrapple with less of a defensive emphasis from the visitors.

Siena's offensive output has been going hot and cold all season. Monmouth was probably the most disappointing loss of the season so far, in that we would have hoped the team had come further by now. It's gonna be important to come home and string 40 minutes together.

Rider will be a tough game but if we put the Monmouth game behind us with a quick turnaround and come out strong I like our chances on Saturday night. If we are going to have a realistic chance of finishing with a winning MAAC record these games have to be wins because it's going to be tough winning on the road as we saw yesterday.

Rider's won their last two games by a combined three points over Penn & Niagara - not exactly powerhouses in their own right.
Easily the weakest of the undefeated MAAC conference game teams. I think this game could be a good barometer for Siena at this point in the season. They'll have a much more consistent travel schedule going forward with plenty of home games down the stretch. I hope we see a decent turnout at the TUC tomorrow.

We simply need more talent that's the bottom line. Our freshmen are really good but they are freshmen so especially on the road it is going to be an adventure sometimes. The problem is we don't have a ton of experience to lean on with the upperclassmen. Outside of Poole there are no potential all-MAAC veteran returning players. They play hard but they are limited. Hymes is what he is a very streaky player who can be both really good and really bad both in the same game.

I have two concerns with Hymes. The first is when he is at the point he dribbles way to much and the second is he constantly tries to drive the lane and throw up a shot against the "trees" only to get it blocked over and over again! One would think, being a Junior, he would have figured this out by now. So far this year more bad than good out of him.

I'm glad he is doing that--- at least someone is. The alternative has been playing two man catch with wright on the perimeter.

Hymes does with some success what the rest of the team won't do. But the Fordham game he penetrated and passed- we need more of that. feelings about hymes defines what true ambivalence is.

Hymes is on of the few that can drive to the hoop with success, the guys down low had butter fingers last game which were costly
