This board needs help

I've stopped looking at this board based on what I've seen on the Marcus Hopper board. 99 percent of talk was abo. Long and not Marcus Hopper. The administrator needs to take charge of this. Stick to the subject matter at hand or remove there privileges. I haven't liked the new format and this post I'm talking about is a disgrace.

You shouldn't worry about my mistakes of grammar. You should be concerned about the Marcus Hopper post that was a disgrace. You should use your energy to fix problems like I pointed out. I'm sure you are PERFECT.

Not saying I'm perfect, but find it ironic you rip a thread for taking a different direction with improper grammar. Who cares? Hopper was basically a walk on. He got/gets too much talk time out here anyway for what he contributed to this program.

Grammer being perfect or not the point Wally made and rightly so is that the Hopper thread went the way of Lavon like numerous other threads have on this board. When you read a thread you expect it to stay on subject and not go totally off base! If all the threads on this board went this way it would be a mess, make no mistake about that.
I agree that Hopper was a MB mistake but he is still a kid Siena recruited and you have to give him some credit for deciding to leave and open a scholoarship for next year, one that Siena desperately needs, instead of warming the bench and taking his $45K/year free ride to a great education.

Most people are under the impression that when a kid comes here on a scholarship it's an automatic 4-year commitment. Scholarships are 4 individual, 1-year ageements between the college and student/athlete that need to be renewed annually. And in the world of college basketball, when the coach that bought you in, is fired/leaves, those renewals are in jeopardy.

PW made so many poor recruiting decisions that bought this program to it's knees. We go out and hire JP to turn it around. It's only fair he is allowed to do it with HIS players, and not all of the ones PW clearly missed the boat on. Some will scream it isn't fair. We should honor every mistake PW made, BUT we still demand positive results from the new guy we paid well to revive the program. PW did such a horrible job of leveling out the classes, it's made JP's job very difficult. No seniors, 3 juniors. The sophomore class (Bisping, Audu, Oliver and Hopper) is the only one that can be re-evaluated, and "fixed."

My guess is definitely one, maybe two, sophomores will "decide to leave" in May also. With Cole and possibly Taplin in the fold in '14, there will be no minutes for any junior guards to get.

It may seem harsh to some, but this is big business folks, with scholarships worth close to $200K. WE are so quick to judge our basketball coaches success, so we should allow him a fair shake in getting the players he wants to get us to the level we, as fans, have become accustomed to.

Audu and Oliver getting very limited minutes and Patsos bemoaning not having much coming off the bench is a telling sign, but we will see what happens.
