MAAC opens for business this week. Pulled from the MAAC website, so home team is on the left. Format is a bit crazy, blame the MAAC. Siena not included in this list since they are doing the Buffalo trip...
* Wed, Dec 04 Iona / Marist New Rochelle, N.Y. 7:00 p.m. * Thu, Dec 05 Monmouth / Rider West Long Branch, N.J. 7:00 p.m. ESPN3 * Fri, Dec 06 Canisius / Saint Peter's Buffalo, N.Y. 7:00 p.m. * Fri, Dec 06 Marist / Manhattan Poughkeepsie, N.Y. 7:00 p.m. * Fri, Dec 06 Quinnipiac / Fairfield Hamden, Conn. 8:30 p.m. ESPN3 * Sun, Dec 08 Fairfield / Iona Bridgeport, Conn. 1:30 p.m. * Sun, Dec 08 Rider / Quinnipiac Lawrenceville, N.J. 2:00 p.m. * Sun, Dec 08 Niagara / Saint Peter's Lewiston, N.Y. 2:00 p.m. * Sun, Dec 08 Manhattan / Monmouth Riverdale, N.Y. 2:00 p.m.
Should be an interesting start to conference play.

I expected Iona to drill them a little more than that, even.
Marist is all out of sorts...reminds me of the team Mitch inherited, with two proven, All-MAAC caliber guys (Kemp & Lewis) but can't get the ball rolling.

Quinny looks solid-- early indications ST Peters- Niagara- Monmouth- Marist and Fairfield stink I watched Monmouth-Rider and they(MU) looked better than I expected. Fairfield has no pg/shooters and is not getting anything from Sidibe or Malcolm Gilbert down low. Marist is playing like Marist of the last five years, no change so far and do not see it coming. St Peters looks like they just do not have much talent. Niagara we just saw what they are.

Sean Armand 28 points, only 1-4 from three
Quinny 78 Rider 90
Rider had three players with 20+ points (Stewart, Myles, Taylor)

Mason back in form, 35 points to rally the Purple Eagles
Monmouth 66 Manhattan 75
Manhattan was down early to Eagles, rallies back with Tyler (15 points)...Beamon stats are ho hum (11 points, 6 rebounds)
STANDINGS SO FAR
STILL PERFECT (2-0)

Hopefully Siena can move up into that top tier.

Funny how the preseason Top 4 are intact after the first weekend. I believe Siena will do better than tenth but Iona, Manhattan, and Canisius were everyone's top 3 with Rider 4th in some polls I saw

Guess I should have used "Top", "Middle", "Low"- Sorry for being creative. I figure things will change a lot this season. If you ask me, out of the four bottom teams, My guess is Monmouth/Fairfield will get wins first. Not sold on Rider. Lots to change, nothing set in stone.

A few more games and we will probably be able to figure out if we are progressing. The cc game wasn't good, they looked like pros out there, and we were flat. Why? I don't know. JP looked flat as well.

Anyone spending Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Buffalo comes out flat - Buffalo is the birthplace of Flat Stanley!
