It did not go unnoticed that Wright, White, Poole, Long, and Silas were all wearing white jerseys.

get use to seeing a lot of this guy Looks like he has the body to be able to contribute from Day 1. Maurice White doesn't look too bad, either!

White, Wright and Long all have bodies ready for D1 basketball. That is a huge plus. And if they have the mental part down (and it sounds like it) they could be very good players even as freshmen. The experience of course will come with time...I would expect them to be even better for MAAC play with an OOC schedule that will prepare them well!!!

I'm sure everyone is getting to wear those jerseys on occasion as they audtion for a starting position or spot in the playing rotation. I find it highly unlikely that Patsos will start 3 freshman. You can get away with that at Kentucky when your freshmen are the caliber of a John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins , but not at this level. If they can get two of the incoming freshman to be consistently big producers, they'll be doing well. Anything beyond that would mean this class is comparable to Ubiles/Moore/Franklin class - the best in MAAC history . And I don't think that's the case.

Probably not starting 3 frosh off the bat but something tells me by time a 1/3 of the season passes that is exactly what you're going to see.

It is completely up to White if he starts. If he's good enough on offense, he's gonna start for his defense. If he's not, then when Hymes comes back we'll see where things truly stand.
Wright, White, Poole, Long, and Silas is the best possible defensive lineup (eligible) that we can put on the floor this year. White has to prove he belongs out there before it happens though. There's a lot of experience he's competing with.
I hope he turns out to be a major factor. If that happens we go from possibly struggling on defense and rebounding to having one of the more physical starting fives in the league. There's a lot of rebounding and defense in that lineup as opposed to the other softer/finesse players on the team.
Silas needs to be a monster.

Team 2: Hymes, Oliver, Audu, Bisping, JO.
That team is more geared toward shooting than defense. Maybe we do want to match those guys up against another teams' reserves and hope that Team 1 can keep opponents best players from scoring while the "shooting" team comes in and puts some points on the board against teams' reserves.
Honestly, Jimmy sounds like he keeps changing his mind between 8 & 10 players. Why not just play them all and stay fresh? Or at least 9.

I don't like how he's trying to put a limit on how many guys play. If you got 10 who can play, then play 10. Why limit it to 8? Makes no sense to me.

I think it will keep changing for most.of the season and whether Cole plays..we have one true pg so that's easy but it appears all other positions are still being worked out...nice problem to have....

I wouldn't take the 8-man depth comment so literally. He was telling a reporter not to dwell on the starting 5 because the rotation will go deeper than that. If you look at his Loyola rosters, he had more than 8 players who averaged 5 minutes per game or more. Last year, it was 11. In the NCAA year, it was 9. The year before that, it was 12 players. He's a flexible guy who will do what he feels is right in the situation. His off-the-cuff remarks aren't carefully constructed rules that must be followed or else.
