Received word last night Patsos was at Corinth watching Wincowski play. Not sure if assistants were with him. Cheap recruiting trips to watch him play in saratoga county anyways.

Kid looks like a talent. Would love to have him. A bit of a sluggish release, but a shooter nonetheless.
More local talent = more butts in the seats.

Patsos understands the importance of local talent. He spent time on JO to keep him committed. But I am a little confused with this kid ... he is listed as a pg but the video shows him shooting and he looks more like a scorer and not a Patsos type pg..his J looks automatic though

I wonder if that shoot-first mentality is important to him or if he would be comfortable with learning a new role as a true point guard. He could probably get into the rotation at the 2 guard, especially since he'd have three seasons after Poole graduates.

But on that team, Joel has to be the scorer first. He's a scoring point, which is very similar to the role Jimmer Fredette played at Glens Falls. That's where the comparisons come from.

He and Poole would not overlap. Also, the roster will look so differnt by the Fall of 2015 I am sure there will be a role for a sniper - wwhich is what we wanted Oliver to be.

This kid is not a PG but he does have a Jimmer-esque game while he is not Jimmer. Kid's just starting his junior year right. Unlike Oliver, he has more quickness, adaptability, and movement in his game. Jimmy recruits mostly slashers so finding shooters will always be a priority for this team.

Well this kid is prob still growing so Patsos prob sees hom as more of a 2g with his style of play...remember what he said about Hymes when he changed his primary position... he never had a point guard score 30 pts in games...RJ and Wright are his type of pgs this kid will put up big numbers in HS over the next 2 years

Wincowski is a senior, no? Does he plan to prep? He was State POY as a Soph. In Class "C"......he's got two years to get to the D-1 "can't miss" level. And please stop with the Jimmer comparisons. Yeah, he's white, yeah he's from up north, and yeah he's likes to shoot 3's. Jimmer was the NATIONAL POY!! That will never happen again from this area.

Learn to read. I said people compare him to Jimmer because they are from the same area and play the same role.
