who is the backup point guard Hymes and Long thats how it was in practice but since Lavon only played 15 min Wright and Hymes must have done it exclusively

Oh wow, I didn't realize he only played 15 mins. 13 pts, 7 boards, 1 stl, 2 assists, 0 TOs in just 15 mins.
Yeah, that has to change.
He'll be fresh for tomorrow though!

Based on the interview with Jimmy, it sounds like their press and the 24 sec shot clock hurried the Saints up and contributed to the TOs. Obviously, the returnees aren't used to having to score that quickly.

Once we get White in there, he can play a lot more if the 2 minutes and Hymes and relieve Wright more

Can't wait to see how these guys play together and how JP plays them. As an aside, I saw the video with JP and then the one with Deane & Brennan. If I didn't know better I would have thought that was Jack Kevorkian being interviewed And Brennan reminded me of somebody with that tie but I can't place it. Could you have been thinking of Dave Garroway?

Some thoughts from this game:
- This team has to stop running its point guards into the ground. 39 minutes for Wright...why? - Siena can actually score again. Hallelujah. - JO will take the starting spot at the 4 from Bisping at some point this season. - Wright should not be allowed to shoot from deep - it's not his role on this team. - I suspect this team has a kick-ass freshman class. - This was a 20 point blowout but for the starting center and PG combining for 15 of the team's 25 turnovers. That can never happen again.

Nice win- I wouldn’t worry too much about the turnovers or 3 point shooting. We are 1 week into most of these kids career- playing on road in foreign country playing 24 sec shot and wider international lane
Some good news- we got 48 of our 88 points from 3 players not on team last year- and 3 freshmen to boot

Let's not take too much out of these games (good or bad) other than a chance for them start playing together against players not wearing green& gold. That said, I am excited about the start of the season.

Sounds from the video seem like Siena had quite a few fans in the stands!

Jimmy explained the turnovers to my satisfaction. They were pressing Siena to slow them down (imagine that) and then Siena had to rush because of the 24 second shot clock. Silas' turnovers were mostly 5 second violations caused by him being unaccustomed to the wider international lane.

For their first game together, I liked it (yes, I realize who we were playing, but that's not the point now, though). And although we are called the Green and Gold, it's not lime-green

Finally got to see the highlights. I am so glad that play happened to Wright on this trip. He will find himself in that position again MANY times before his Siena career is over. He over played with time running out and should have been more focused on staying in front and contesting the shot instead of lunging at the ball in that particular situation. Great learning experience and will sit a long time in his memory yet really didn't cost the team a true loss.
