I did not say anything the first time it was posted after reading the long reply with all of the corrections...when it was reposted without correcting the part about Lavon I will admit it angered me ...it does not matter how many.people read it...one is too much for me and it has been out there long enough...I am glad its gone ....

I hate blogs, but most journalism these days is lazy. I took one look at the long paragraph structure and saved my 3 minutes. To make matters worse, 3 years of Mitch ball and pundits not living in the capital district are back to spelling our college Sienna.

Amedio has now deleted all the comments to his blog entry on the grounds that he will not allow negative debates about individuals. There were comments about his factual mistakes (which he corrected in respomse) and counterpoints to his comments about Mitch. I find it curious he doesn't want debate when he started said debate with the following statement in his blog entry:
And, it seemed that Buonaguro, a well-respected basketball mind was either not quite capable of a second try as a head coach (he had been the head man at Fairfield in the late-1980's), or was a victim of a lot of circumstances against him. Most fans of the program believe it to be the former, but, in truth, it was probably more the latter.
I guess if anyone debates his viewpoint, it's negative and thus not allowed.

Hence why I dislike blogs. Oh well the value of his particular blog needs no debate:-)

He probably doesn’t want anyone in the MAAC office to see what a touchhole he is

well written article by Amedio, very touching about his daughter. With Mitch, obviously he was too close to see the trees in the forest.

He gives kudos to Mike Buonaguro in this piece. Man, is this what it looks like when writers operate without editors? It's obvious that his views on Castelli and Mitch are biased by his personal relationships with them. Which is fine, but as a result he's chosen to ignore that this is a business and win/loss records are going to be the ultimate barometer upon which coaches are judged.

Which is fine, but as a result he's chosen to ignore that this is a business and win/loss records are going to be the ultimate barometer upon which coaches are judged. It is a BUSINESS... D1 sports are. High, mid or low major. Most coaches now make as much money (or in the BCS a lot more) as the President of the United States does. You better believe it's about winning. If not go to D3 and pay the coach $25,000 to be a mentor and life coach. D1 sports are pro sports lite and there's nothing wrong with it either. Mitch was treated very well by Siena. Were the fans tough on him? Yes they are were with Beyer and Lanier. But Mitch collected over $1 million dollars for a job that he simply wasn't qualified for. I'm sure he's a nice man...your Italian uncle but not a man to run your team. And I don't think Mitch really believed it was him either. Jimmy gets it. When he says if I don't win, they'll fire me he knows the name of the game. And that's important too.

Mitch's hiring was all political by Herr Kevin, who wanted to be a do gooder and give an unqualified Mitch a second chance. Mitch performed about the same as he did at FF, he was a poor recruiter and therefore couldn't compete. He was also a poor to mediocre coach.
I would rather haave a p----k as a coach who knows how to win than a nice guy.
Herr Kevin's hoped for do good story became a travesty on how to ruin a program.
Siena has no consistency ( and therefore hasn't moved up in league) due to a failure of the AD and school officials to follow successful coaches with blind nepotism on the next hire.
I hope this last travesty doen't cost us our one-time opporunity to move up to the A-10.
If it does Kevin should get a hard boot to his fat ass.
