Hopefully we'll get some insight (if reporters ask the right questions) from the presser this afternoon but I'm wondering if anyone has insight on why Toole or Rhoades was NOT offered (vs. why Jimmy was)? Didn't interview well? $$ issues? Or just not as good a "fit" for the Siena community and environment as Patsos?

Not sure what they could say, but that would be interesting to hear.

I hear Jimmy would bring more stability than the other two, who were both excellent candidates. Jimmy brings the passion and will commit to Siena for the long haul.

When you are looking for stability- with the possibility of moving up in conference. A coach with the passion of Coach Patsos is a valuable commodity. Anyone who can’t see the value in a coach like Patsos clearly.. well I can’t help you. Jimmy is our coach… like it or hate it..that’s the reality and I’ll say it again..for those of you having a problem with this…if you are a 1st time poster or only a few posts and your sole intention is to come to Siena board and bitch about the coach or Siena- please go elsewhere because I will surely ban you. I have had enough negativity the last 3 years and see no point of continuing it any further. Time will tell if Jimmy is a good hire – but save the negativity for the MAAC board Albany board Iona board… wherever- no interest here

Tony -- hope you are not referring to me with your post. I was just curious about the process. I support Jimmy as well -- just happy to see some energy return to the program.

I don’t care about different opinions-in fact I welcome them. But when you get 1st time posters here – that appear to have an axe to grind… naturally I will not let those poster disrupt the board

I guess this is a good indicator of interest and energy. I used to post a lot on the old board but hardly at all in the past couple of seasons. I was embarrassed when my out of town friends and family would ask, "So how's Siena doing? I don't hear anything about them any more." Now the excitement and promise for fun times again at the TUC is back. . .

I doubt that any questions about the other candidates will be responded in any way other than Patsos was the best person for the job followed by a litany of all his good qualities and that is the way it should be handled in the media.
