I was one of the naysayers. I give credit to alumni and fans with deep pockets who made this happen. Credit Seifert for making the move. Obviously he's his own man and was tired of looking at an empty arena on game nights. He was also wise enough to listen to the people with the money and took an interest in athletics. The AD and BOT had no stomach to make such a move or change. I still stand by my post stating there are members of the BOT who couldn't care less if Siena plays D-1 or D-3 hoops. I feel better now than I did a month ago. However, the school needs a savvy athletic director. Hopefully Seifert over ruling D'Arg on this coaching change is a sign the wheels are in motion.

BH43 - I did note that D'Arg didn't seem to be driving the bus at the GMac intro at the MVP atrium. I've been watching these events since Hewitt was introduced. D'Arg was always the MC and center stage. He was not this time. My guess is that his time is running out.

I have never spoken to the man but he has always seemed to present himself as an arrogant individual. Only an outside observation. I have never met him. Any personal observations from anyone that has met him, had a conversation with him or even spoken to him?

Over the course of many years he's always been cordial and friendly. I'll let the record over that time speak for itself.Time to come, time to go.

There’s probably BOT members at Duke that don’t like the basketball program or BOT members at Alabama that don’t like the football program. Academic eggheads. But a strong sports program does so much for a school and applications.

He's a hard worker, friendly, wants to see Siena succeed even if not completely successful especially in the last decade or so. I would definitely not characterize him as arrogant.
