Going to be fun this year to see how it all works out-- Carm will have many options ( or better yet bullets in the chamber) I always remember something Fran used to say all the time-- if you can play I'll find time for you. Carm is going to have his hands full keeping everyone happy- I expect to see faster pace and more pressing next year - team is deep and extremely talented, going to be a fun year!! If I'm perfectly honest, we're probably going to have to go with the most offensively potent bunch because I still am skeptical of our ability to defend the 2 and force turnovers. At some point, they may have to just go for broke on offense and attack the bucket and shoot 3's with reckless abandon. Put pressure on opposing offenses by scoring so much. Since we defend the 3 pretty well, it could make it hard for teams to hang with us by shooting 2's....especially since we don't foul much either. That's probably how we'll win.....I mean as long as we're efficient enough on offense and Tate's sub 1 PPS doesn't reemerge.

If we can play more uptempo then Harris becomes a possible 60 steals/blocks guy which would be huge.

If we can play more uptempo then Harris becomes a possible 60 steals/blocks guy which would be huge. Yes. It would. But that could also come at a cost of offense. A lot comes down to what we get from Tate. If we get inefficient Tate and he plays a lot, it could foul everything up...including Harris' minutes..and Siena's win total. If we get a Burn's-like Tate who plays center or a Tate that doesn't play hardly at all because someone else is playing center effectively...then we can afford more to play Harris' simply for his D either way. Harris can be PLUS on D. Tate I don't think can...probably average at best. If King and Harris are the primary bench guards and Tate is either playing great at center or not playing much at all...then I think Harris will be at his best for this year. If Tate's getting too many minutes at the SF or even PF, then Harris I don't think can shine even on D. We want Harris to play mostly behind the SF and PF...not at SG. I think this could be a Tate or Harris thing. Not a Harris or Carey/King thing. We're gonna want the shooters to shoot. Neither of these guys are shooters.

Glad I read the article. Carm says a lot of very good things about Tate. Not sure where this "mid season" nonsense comes from. IF he was on the team last year, he would have played 26 games and missed 7. We're gonna miss him against that tough slate in Disney, but he'll be there for the MAAC and more.
Expect Harris to get his 20 min a game again this year. King and Carey will each give min to Carpenter. Tate should get most of the "5" min, but like Carm said, can play 2-5. (Catch his video from 3 years ago in this article/interview).

Carm will play a style that gives him( Siena best chance to win) If we are as deep as many of us hope we are-- Carm will to play to that strength. I expect to see faster pace on offense and much more pressure on defense next year-- and keep in mind many different ways to apply pressure, sometimes its not about forcing turnovers ( although that always an added benefit) sometimes its just about speeding other team up making them play at pace that are not comfortable with. At any rate I expect Siena to go 9 possibly 10 deep next year in playing rotation-- especially once Tate is eligible
