Wasn't that Louisville, not Kansas? Yes as KS corrected it was Louisville - I occasionally confuse midwest teams with Level 1 NCAA violations levied against them. I'm pleading it was done in Self-defense. wordpress.com/view/lastsienaindian.wordpress.com

Would have really enjoyed seeing Sammy in a Saints uniform for 1 more season. Hopefully he will fully recover from last year's knee surgery and have much success where he lands. I thought the injury held him back most of this season. He was certainly playing his best basketball in the past few weeks and showed he can be a solid contributor in the MAAC. Wishing him only the best next year and beyond. Thanks for the memories Sammy!

Good luck Sammy I think his knee will be even stronger. If you could tell coming to the end of the year. So hopefully he goes somewhere to finish up a strong senior season. Interested to see where he ends up.

I’ll miss Snacks being around this program. There was definite frustration within the program about his lack of development and lack of response to coaching up into MAAC play, which I think is around when this decision was made. When Kyle beat him out, it was already over. Love that he came back fired up and gave us a big lift down the stretch that we needed. Hoping he finds a good situation for himself for his last year of eligibility and that he had a successful life post-Siena!

Hope he find the right fit on the court and academically. Getting a masters degree on scholarship is a great perk. Best of luck to him.

I could see him going down a conference level and being a 12 and 8 guy and making an impact Unfortunately, down a conference level lands him in D2;) There will be opportunities at the same level. I thought he was trending up for us next year. Best of luck, class kid.

I think last year's knee injury and subsequent surgery is what held back Sammys' development at the beginning of this season more than anything. Too many on here seemed to forgot what happened to him last year. For most of the year he was limping and the big knee brace seemed to affect his movement and explosiveness. At the end of the season Sammy started to show what he was capable of. Not sure I would say Kyle beat him out. There were games when the match-up was in Sammys favor and games when the match-up was in Kyles. At this stage of their careers, and Sammy at 100%, I think he is the more complete player. Hopefully Kyle works hard the next 3 years and continues to improve his game. Wishing both success next year.

Sorry to see him go. He looked like he didn't have much gas in the tank in the beginning of the year with his previous injury but he had an amazing second half. He could of certainly helped the team next year. Best of luck to him.

Good luck to one of the most loved guys on the team by his teammates. He had a great run and was a huge contributor the last month of the season and showed everyone what I always thought he was capable of but could never put it all together up to that point. He continued working hard, believed in himself and ultimately got the credit he deserved for his pivotal role in our late season run. A true class act and a great kid.

Despite the jacked up end to the season, Sammy really played well down the stretch and was a big part of the Saints season ending run. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a kinder person, based on my limited interactions with him. I wish him the best moving forward.
