They were offered a buy game at UCLA. Carm instead chose to add another home game and we got American at TUC instead. Had he not dined that, they're 1-4 with only 1 home game in 45 days coming into this weekend and looking at 2-5 after the trip. Very good point-- normally you would want the buy game at UCLA--- but we would probably be sitting 1-5 right now and the natives would be beyond restless..Schedule just didnt allow for it this year. Plus after 3 straight losses, team is focused and ready to play tonight. Its a game we 'need' in the worst way -- team will be feeling good going into finals-- fans will be satisfied , and we have a ton of home games coming up. A loss tonight-- and its going to be a long two weeks for players, coaches and fans till next game, and most of us will have to readjust expectations Dont we only have one home game (Yale) next year so far?? I really hope the staff is working on bringing some local kids home for a game....Syracuse (Girard), North Carolina (Platek) and Washington (Wright)

Maybe Syracuse when JGIII is a senior, they’re a stones throw from being a mid major now. By year 4 the transformation should be complete😉 Seriously, unfortunately it’s looking like JB’s best days are behind him.

Nowhere as bad as you think. Cuse would want a 2-for-1 for sure. Didn’t they play here before? Albany has been pretty good to them. Carolina is known for playing games in their seniors hometowns. Platek gets 20 min a game now as a junior. Can’t hurt to ask. Duke played at Canisius when Laettner was a senior. Since Hopkins starts 3 kids from upstate NY, and would probably like to keep that pipeline going, why wouldn’t he give us a game here? Would make sense for him.

And Siena won’t do 3 for 1 because it’s easier and more cost effective to just get bought.

I'm not sure Cuse would even do a 3 for 1-- so like I said almost no chance for any of them-- I agree it doesnt hurt to ask, but major teams seldom go on road to mid majors these days

Problem is this: most of the power conferences play 20 games schedules nowadays - throw in other high profile scheduled games( ACC/Big Ten Challenge, the Gavitt Games etc) an then most of them play in exempt tournament,” only leaves a few games and big boys just buy some mid or low majors for easy wins. I'd guess less than a handful of power teams that travel to mid or low majors on a yearly basis- so for better or worse the days of power teams traveling to mid are almost non existent. Bracket buster was good if you are a good mid major- not so much if you are mid pack or worse

No major schools are playing at mid majors these days, it won't happen if you give them a 10 for 1. No chance we ever see Cuse or any other power conference school in the TUC playing Siena. Just look around the country, it doesn't happen.

(Winthrop, Georgia State, etc) I understand travel to those destinations can be expensive. As long as Carm is challenging the team is all that matters.

Schedule a few each year v. programs from MAC MVC A10 CAA or Horizon etc.... tons of solid mid majors we should be able to do 1-1 with.... like to see different teams for a change.

You guys have short memories. So no major programs have played at our arena? Xavier, Pitt, Stanford and I'm pretty sure Syracuse played UAlbany in our building.

We've played 3 top-100 teams, plus Bona who could get there (at 122 right now), and a solid PL club in American. Still have a perennially strong mid-major in Bucknell. Not sure what the objections are here.

Showing your age ole man-- those days are long gone-- Albany had to sign I think it 7 for 1 to get Cuse in the TUC -- re read my post above on why -as recently as 2006 the big east played a 16 game conference schedule, the games just aint there anymore coach

Not sure what the objections are here. No objection at all I thought this years schedule was pretty solid. I’d just like to see games vs some of the conferences I mentioned above just for variety.
