the NCAA goofed, in fact they sent an apology letter to Dunn & St. Johns..................as a FR he played at St. Francis, and then after that first yr he transferred to Cleveland St and sat out a full yr...........then after his sit out yr, coach was gone at Cleve St so he decided to transfer again (which was his god given right) and he chose the Red Storm over Siena..........he should not have had to sit out another full yr, as that would have been 2 yrs sitting out (egads), and the ncaa ruled him out the first 3 games, but came to their senses & granted the waiver along with saying they were sorry, incredible............ No, the NCAA did not goof. And there was no apology letter. Without a special exception being made, a player cannot play until he has attended his CURRENT school for a year. Dunn had not done that. The rules are very clear. Sitting out a year at Cleveland was irrelevant as far as the rules go. What happened here is that the NCAA, based on NEW information supplied by St. John's about his situation at Cleveland, decided to waive the sit-out rule and give him immediate eligibility.
