From Forbes magazine, coincidentally this topic was just posted on the MAAC board, if interested take a look there. Smaller private institutions are struggling, it’s no big secret. Just do a google search on the topic. It’s only going to get worse just based on demographics alone. 1. Faifield U. 2.94 = B 2. Iona College 2.73 = B- 3. Marist College 2.6 = B- 4. Quinnipiac U. 2.33 = C+ 5. Manhattan C. 2.26 = C+ 6. Niagara U. 2.01 = C 7. MonMounth U. 2.0 = C 8. Siena C. 1.54 = C- 9. Canisius C. 1.49 = D 10. St. Peter's U 1.47 = D 11. Rider U. 1.05 = D From post - “Analysis of 933 private, not-for-profit schools with enrollments > 500 students and their overall conclusion is that many private colleges and universities are in financial trouble”.
