Hopefully Pickett is still around next year; I'll keep my fingers crossed.
With that said, I'm excited about next year's recruits, especially Aidan Carpenter. He looks like the real deal to me. Golson I think will add serious inside muscle, but I'm not sure how adept he might be at the P&R game. Bennett looks very skilled, but is pretty slight of build for the inside game.
Ya know what, though? Manny as a Senior might be a world beater - he has arguably been our overall best player this season already. As I've said before, he's becoming my favorite Saint.
I'm looking forward to that tournament and a fun Thanksgiving weekend next year!

Very good field...some powers and very good mid-majors. Hopefully we'll be even stronger and in a good position to compete on a neutral floor! Siena won't have Burns or Pickett next year if his plans pan out. Or Friday. Might not be stronger next year. Could see a small drop instead. Pretty sure Jalen will still be a Saint next year and hopefully the year after that too.

We certainly don't have a crystal ball to see how next season's freshmen class is going to perform their first year. But isn't it exciting to have, finally, a hard working staff where we see a future and be excited about the possibilities! This season, even when things aren't going our way, we have to remember where we have been. AND stay appreciative of what we now have.

Here's the field. Looks very strong That's going to be a great tourney, also a great opportunity to get wins that can put you in the at large bid discussion. Wins? ??........unless we get Boise St or Belmont, we will be very hard pressed to beat any of the others.........and we have no experienced frontcourt talent to even sniff an upset........don’t get me wrong, love that we are playing in this event, but realistically it is not likely we pull any surprises based upon what we have coming back in terms of inside strength..........

Way too early to tell and we don't even know our full roster but as it stands now we will have great guards and the staff continues to add talent. Of course it would be an upset to beat a Power-5 team (when is it not really?) but the fact is playing well on a neutral floor gives you an opportunity (very hard on the road Evansville and SFA not withstanding).

Getting the opportunity on a neutral court rather than a road guarantee game makes a world of difference.

Anthony Travel has not been updated for travel packages. Last tournament the teams hotel was at Gaylord Resort. 2 people was 1800 dollars. ESPN offers discounted Disney park tickets.
Disney has a deal where if you book a room, then you do not need to pay the full balance until a few days before the trip. You have to make a down payment on the room.
Avoid Disney packages, you save money if you book theme park and tickets separately. I’ve heard dining plans are not a good value.
Parking is not free at the Disney resorts, except Camp Wilderness. It is free on the ESPN Wide World of Sports grounds.

That's going to be a great tourney, also a great opportunity to get wins that can put you in the at large bid discussion. No question if there’s a money game I’d guess Michigan St or Auburn since we already did Xavier this year. You have the Big 10, Big East, SEC, A10, Mountain West in this tournament plus Gonzaga and a great midmajor in Belmont. Next year’s OOC looks like this currently— Home: Yale Away: St. Bonaventure, Bucknell, American, Holy Cross Neutral: 3 TBD Orlando tournament We need all home games. If we play a buy game on the road (which will allow us to play the max 31 regular season games) then we’d only have 13 home games unless one of the road games are pushed back to a following year. Maybe KnickSaint can chime in here!? Since it is apparently offensive to talk about Siena in relation to 12 seeds this year I will use next years schedule instead. MTS sees one of the biggest problems, too many away games. Why is it that every year with the largest fan base in the maac and a top 100 fan base nationally we always have more away games than home games? If the arena is the problem, bring some games back to the arc. F the parking. Fill it up, get some wins. Forget about the power 5. We don't need 2 for ones or 3 for ones, or junk exempt events masking guarantees. Load up home games. Schedule some d2 if necessary. Let's take a look at last years 12 seeds: Liberty: 29-7, 14-2. 7 home games 4 away games 3 neutral. 3 d2 type teams. Did win at UCLA. This year 6 home games, 3 away, 5 neutral. 9-0 so far. Murray state: 16 home games 13 away, 4 neutral. This year non conference 6 home, 3 away, 3 neutral New Mexico State: 17 home games, 11 away, 7 neutral. This year non conf. 6 home 4 away, 5 neutral, although two of those are in the home state of a power 5. Three examples, all three seem to make an effort to schedule more home than away on a consistent basis. Why not us.

Just booked my room at a Disney resort for the tournament!
Next steps: getting theme park tickets, game tickets, and transportation.

Siena a 9 in 2009 & Manhattan a 12 in 2004. Just sayin’ 14/15 is more the norm. Also the MAAC’s power rank is garbage, so their sos also takes a hit.
