Hard to tell much in these open practices, they do mainly drills. I left about 4 , maybe they scrimmaged after I left. Jalen and Don are both noticeably bigger- both are very- very good Harris is as athletic as advertised- at least in drills still seemed a bit raw Luke is silky smooth- he will help us this year- and be a player for us once he gets stronger Sammy and Elijah both sat out practice, have no idea why It was just a practice but Manny shot the ball well I totally agree with everything you commented on Tony. I think I was more excited about have good Manny looked than any of the other positives.(which were many) His shot looked good. He seemed much more confidence in his release. And correct me if I'm wrong but didn't he look much bigger in his chest and particularly his arms. He looked like he's put a lot of time in the weight room. Harris is certainly athletic but he definitely looked like a freshman standing next to Manny. I was also impressed with King. Like Tony said, it was only practice but King can definitely shoot. I hope we give him a scholarship because I think he can be a real asset to the team. A lot of energy, and I don't know how successful the coaches think he will be but you can never have enough shooters. And Carey definitely looks like a stud. He's big, long and aggressive. Some of the drills they were running were all about being aggressive and taking it to the hoop. This is going to be a fun season!

Just my take but, attack and finish better be the plan because if today is any indication, outside Shooting is not this team’s strong point. I hope today was out of the ordinary.

I really hope that the shooting we saw yesterday (mostly unguarded in shooting drills) was an honest-to-goodness aberration, because overall it was pretty bad. Hoping for the best.

And Hoopjunkie's Idea - every time hein makes a 3 pointer, we declare it a hein-e-bomb and have students hold up cut out of Heineken bottles. For added effect have 3 friars chug a heiny bottle Not sure if we ll need many of those cutouts! One of the poorer shooters on the team, but I do like the idea! Lol He doesn’t have real good shooting form, but he did hit several threes during the workout. He also missed a bunch, but from what I saw, pretty sure he hit more threes than Jordan King (on this one particular day). King is really quick, though. Really quick.

Fran is at today’s practice Fran wasn’t really “at” the practice. He walked through the ARC after visiting several people. Was on his way to Albany Academy (Ryan Mulvey).
