St. John’s will announce sometime in the next few days that Iona’s Tim Cluess will be it’s new men’s basketball coach.
Who will be the next Iona coach ?

Bring Ruland out of mothballs. I would have rather Cluess stayed( and who know maybe St John's deal falls thru) would have been good for the MAAC and would have been more fun to beat Iona with him there. Iona fans are big on Grasso, and I'm sure he can double his career 20% winning pct at Iona

Iona fans are big on Grasso, and I'm sure he can double his career 20% winning pct at Iona I think it's better if he leaves. They usually do poorly in out of conference games, then dominate the MAAC which brings down our RPI. Also, for all the times he's made the tournament, they haven't won once. The conference needs to start winning out of conference games, and when the dominant team in the conference does horrible with them, it brings down the whole conference.

Bad for the MAAC, it’ll be interesting to see who Iona brings in, maybe Grasso.
Too bad Iona pretty much made things miserable at the TU over the last down 8 years, now that things are looking up i was looking forward to going head to head with TC.

I’d say losing every NCAA tourney game was bad for the MAAC 😉

It may help us on some recruiting issues. Transfers who are looking for Ncaas tourney time may see us as a team that will get them there as soon as next year. Certainly sooner than St. Johns.

it could be, but some folks around the Bryant program are not as thrilled with his questionable in game coaching, that is what is floating around...…………..his niche may be just as a recruiter type so this could come into play for him not getting the job in New Rochelle...………...
