after he was ushered out at Nebraska I had a glimmer of hope when Siena and Buffalo were mentioned that he may have decided to stay local and what I believe to be more appropriate levels for him, but no luck. Still chasing the highest level.

He’ll have a chance to play right away as Cincy is point-guard poor. Lets see what he’s made of.

Good luck, see you in two years! Cincinnati has a new coach but it’s been a pretty successful basketball program under Mick Cronin. Cincinnati is coming off 9 consecutive NCAA appearances. I don’t begrudge MAW for making this selection and the opportunity to play there, looks like a good fit. I wish him well.

The ending of this drama is as lackluster as the final Game of Thrones episode.

Good for him. He's confident in himself and wanted to play at the highest level possible. Hope he kills it.

He’s a very good player. Ended up at a top 25 program IMHO (not sure now without Cronin), that had a big hole for a PG after a big coaching change. Problem with that is don’t be surprised if they make a top 25 PG a priority in their ‘20 recruiting. Him getting recruited over is a distinct possibility. Same exact thing happened to Willie Deane at BC.

Cincinnati just signed a RS senior transfer PG to offer competition to Adams-Woods, followed be two other highly rated 2020 PG offers. Such is life at the high major level.

Cincy just landed another 5th year transfer guard, Jaevin Cumberland, from Oakland. 17.2 ppg 2.9 rpg, 3.5 apg.
That is in addition to the kid Chris McNeal who was referenced just a few posts ago.
Minutes probably going to be hard to come by for MAW.

Now it will be a tough competition for significant minutes...before then having to compete with more in 2020. Still, he may be good enough to win the competition...who knows.

Cumberland is a shooter, not a ball-handler. He's primarily a ball-mover and secondary creator. McNeal is your Richard-esque combo guard but he's a 5th-year guy with experience. MAW will have a chance to win a role.
