Agree, and that would be understandable. Would love to see him here, but I get it. My new mantra: NEXT MAN UP who wants an opportunity at Siena and fits with the 'key' pieces.

If Siena keeps the majority of players from last season and recruits follow SS would have a field day shooting! He is one of the best pure shooters that I have seen in a long time at Siena. His range is rediculous and he is only a kid and with time could be something special at Siena.GO SAINTS,STAY SS!!

That’s too bad, was hoping for a lot of 3 big guard lineups all capable of scoring and defending. Pickett and Carey were already going to get dominant minutes, but with Richard and Walker no longer here/coming we’ll need another guard that can handle big minutes right away. At least we know now and have as much time as possible to look for difference makers.

Yeah, losing Walker does kinda stink. He had potential. But keeping Jalen (hopefully) and Carey and Elijah is still absolutely massive given the circumstances.
We need one more guard now, preferably one who provides a scoring spark off the bench. I’d be fine to go grad transfer for that since it has to be someone who can play right away.
Right now, we have 3 open scholarships. Seems like we really want a stretch 4 (Falzon?), we'll definitely need a guard or 2, and then maybe use the last one on a sit-out guy. If we lose Sloan, we have 4 to use.

The transfer wheel keeps spinning. Amanda no he latest to enter the portal are Terry Nolan Jr. of GWU, Nick Rutherford of Monmouth and Devine Eke of Rider.

I would gladly take Terry Nolan Jr. but unfortunately he would be a sit one play two and we need to add another guard who will be eligible for the upcoming season

While that is a legitimate concern, the bigger one for me is that he, Jalen and Don would all be in the he same class.

Take talent if you can get it.
Pickett, Carey, and Nolan would wreck the damn league.
The timeline for all these guys is quite flexible. Pickett could leave early, Carey could grad transfer. You just don’t know.
If you can get him you take him even if it holds you back this year over a guy like a Noah Hutchins whose success is far less guaranteed.

Right now we have three ‘ships (hopefully it stays at that number) if so you can sign a guard and a big and still use one for a sit out transfer.

Sure, you can gamble and land a Jalen Pickett. But you can also gamble and land a Georges Darwiche. Siena probably needs 2 more immediately eligible guys. Then you take talent. Nolan is talent.
