We don’t “need” an increase in scoring if our defense holds them to less points to us. Our breakdown in defense cost us the Ione game more so than our “lack of offense”. We’ve been winning all our close games with defense not offense. whoa IS, you have to put all your optimism aside for a reality moment..........scoring only 1pt in the last 8 minutes against Iona cost them that game, in no real possible situation can you always shut that opponent down completely, last time I checked 1pt is not even equal to 1 basket..........hopefully we will see a better balance of solid defense & efficient offense from here on out......... You may be correct, if we do 8 mins w/o scoring, but we have won MAAC games with scoring droughts. Are you thinking we’re going to have a scoring drought today and that’s why you’re less optimistic? Because I’m thinking we’re not going to have one and maybe that’s why I’m more optimistic. We’ll know the outcome later today.

Because I’m thinking we’re not going to have one and maybe that’s why I’m more optimistic. We’ll know the outcome later today. the drought at the end of that particular game cost us vs Iona unfortunately................and what is troublesome is the fact that we have had droughts in a bunch of other games..............sure, we have won some of the games, but typically not being able to put the ball in the basket for long stretches is a very bad recipe for disaster which I think you can agree (like the Rams defense against Pats in Super Bowl was outstanding, but how long can you expect the D to hold down the other opponent if you don't score on your own, just sayin')..........just watch post game presser and comments from JC the last few weeks, his main focus has been to get the team more offensive minded.............in the Iona game they had what he considered very good looks including a bunch of high pct attempts that didn't fall our way, hopefully those begin to start dropping at a better rate today................

JC himself has said repeatedly the offense has to get better to win the MAAC - we have to make teams "pay" for double and triple teaming Jalen and Evan. I have no problem with Evan taking 19 shots if they are good shots- not shooting over double and triple teams. And for those of you at game ( or watching on TV) pay attention to who Quinny is leaving open when they double Jalen or Evan- actually I look for both Manny and Kadeem to be much more aggressive offensively today. JC wasn't too happy with either of them for being to 'passive" vs Iona

I can’t wait to never see Fisher on the court again after this year...

Here we go again. Bombing away from 3 instead of getting inside. I wouldn’t mind not going after rebounds if they made shots. 21% shooting. Outstanding.

Good game plan. Quinny that is. Siena isn’t playing like this is an important game.

It’s the Cameron young show. He has 1/3 of the games points.

Looks like I was worried about this game for good reason. Getting outrebounded 24-9. Turning into a slaughterhouse.
Not a good matchup for us.

Outstanding half, the guys have the body language of a beaten team.
