As of earlier this week, there was no exempt event for next season.
However, Siena will play in the Advocare tourney at Disney in 2020-21. Given how the future looks for the program, the Saints should have a strong team to try to get a W (or two or three).

That's a perfect time to play in that event... Pickett, Carey, Seymour, Ratliff will be juniors...you'll have Camper and Richard (assuming Richard opts to stay which he probably will) as seniors and next year's frosh will have a year under their belts (Young, Walker, Sutherland). Hopefully JC and staff sign a few more studs by then too.
Siena is 0-6 in this event with two teams that had winning seasons, including maybe the best team in program history (2008-09) so hopefully we break through.
Next year it will be interesting to see what schedule JC puts together. We'll be talented but still pretty young.
The only games we have scheduled I believe are at Colgate, at Harvard, St. Bona, at Cal-Poly (bet we schedule another west coast game going that far). A lot of games to fill..hope we play the max 31 games regular season again.

MAAC goes back to 20 games so if we're in an exempt tournament that is 4 games - we will have 11 total OOC games. Home: St. Bonaventure Away/Neutral: Cal Poly, Colgate, Harvard, West Coast Guarantee game, exempt tournament Siena needs three more games (all at home) to get to 14 so to get there the exempt tournament would presumably have one home game. We are going to the Old Spice in 20-21 so we might have one more year of the "goofy" tournaments to get 31 games total and fill the home games.

Pony up the cash to host the Little Sisters of the Poor half of the bracket in the exempt event and include it in the season tickets (if that is allowed).

The last I heard, there is an exempt in Jamaica that is being considered. Would involve two games in the US and two in Jamaica. I think the tourney is only a couple of years old and has only drawn one high major each year. It might be possible to be one of the four hosts for two games in the US. I think Ohio U and Loyola Marymount have done so this year or last. Something like that is almost essential to maintain the 14 home games. We have 10 away MAAC games, Cal Poly, the guarantee game that goes with that, Colgate, Harvard and at least two non-home games in an exempt event. Thatโs 16 and if we are not a host in the exempt event, we would be at 18 non-home games, which leaves room for only 13 home games. That is not a recipe for financial success and does not help us to build the Mayhem brand with the area hoop fans.

Since were setting all kinds of records this year, itโd be great to continue that trend in 2020-21 by maybe becoming the first MAAC host team to win it. So, Iโm hoping for three wins KS.

Not loving the fact they have more away games scheduled than home games. I blame patsos ๐. I wonder if the plan is to let Albany play here again :-(

Click, I want an honest answer from you..................IF the game could be played at TUC, with no designated home team and tickets are first come first served (not part of either season ticket package)...............would you sign up for that, along with gate split 50/50? ??

Why? Its a great community game that Brown and Pastos ran into the ground. Besides that the last time the game was held at SEFCU, between the ticket and parking prices, the FANS got ripped. Hold it at a venue that can accommodate all the fans. 50/50 revenue split!

Playing more home games than road games is not feasible if you want to play a tough schedule in this day and age. Iโd love 15 home games but 13 or 14 is fine by me.
Realistically, any exempt event you play will either be 3 neutral games and a road game or 2-3 roads and 1-2 home/neutrals.
At best, you get home and homes to fill it out and you have 5 home games in the non-con on a great year.
