Elijah will finish up exams at Notre Dame this week. Upon completion of exams Elijah will be able to immediately start practicing with the Saints. Then it’s just a matter of waiting on NCAA to rule on his waiver to play this year. So to those of you who wondered when Elijah can practice, he should be on the Saints practice floor by end of the week!! Practice should be interesting, with Elijah and Don Carey!! a lot of talent just waiting in the wings to join our Saints!! I've said this before and I'll say it again MAAC teams better get us soon, they won't find so easy going forward!! The future is bright

If you look at that Robert Morris game, you really can see how this young and inexperienced team is growing. You can see Degnan thriving in the new system. On the floor were 2 freshmen, a sophomore, and 2 juniors besides Degnan. I know they almost blew the game, but they didn't. Yes, they had a stinker of a game between 2 wins. However this shows growth. No question they have to learn how to win. Add to this Fisher and Burns, and you have Senior leadership. Siena will be a very tough out in the Maac. Next year with Carey and some talented newcomers, there's no telling.

Believe the team has Sunday and Monday off for rest and finals, Burns should be at Siena Monday night from what I am told. Is having dinner with the coaching staff and will be at practice Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest.

Hearing the background sound from "Jaws" for the rest of the MAAC.

Hearing the background sound from "Jaws" for the rest of the MAAC. Between that and the loaded revolver to use a MAAC board term, "the MAAC is effed". In all seriousness, I don't believe Burns will be eligible until next season.

Lighten up Papi-- the Loaded revolver or the MAAC is effed term-- is nothing but harmless smack, a little fun. I have no idea if Burns will be ruled eligible, but just the fact shit stirrer thinks he won't leads me to believe he will play. Burns will help this year, but next year is when we will need him. Siena should be in a good position to make a run at MAAC title for first time really in 8 years

I talked to someone who is involved with the NCAA and the Burns situation is something they don't want to set as a presedent. He really doesn't have a hardship and he played games and left the team for lack of playing time. Yes he did meet his academic requirements, had he not played this year he might have had a case.

We shall see. Not worried either way. He'll be practicing this week and will have 1.5 years either way.

Thought it was a simple rule: Graduate & play; transfer & sit.

Thought it was a simple rule: Graduate & play; transfer & sit. Since he played 4 games for ND complicates it. What Siena and Burns do have going for them, is ND fully supports Burns playing this year for Siena.

Also doesn't hurt that Burns is coming back home. Then again with how inconsistent the NCAA has been when it comes to granting waivers nobody can have any sort of clear idea as to whether it will get granted or not. I find it hard to believe that he wouldn't be able to play but we can only wait and see
